What does death mean?

The fact that one is eternally separated from God does not mean that one ceases to exist.

Perish does not mean, loss of being, but loss of well being.

(A perished tire does not cease to exist, but it is degraded. Perishable goods do not cease to exist but their quality degrades.)

Nope--

Gen. 2:7 (NAS20S) Then the LORD God formed the man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and the man became a living person.

This is God's first description of a human. Person or creature is how several translations render nephesh, which others render as soul.

As human is only a human when body and the breath of life is a reality--he then is a soul. Not the same as having a soul.

You sure like to try to insult others, huh.  What's going on there?

God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?

Well,  does Matt 10:28 include a PROMISE? No, so New 23 isn't relevant to Matt 10.

Please read Matt 10:28 again and see where the promise is.

Is every word God wants to act on a promise?

Genesis 1:26 (NKJV) -Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth."

Is this a promise?

A lot of unbelievers will say, "I'll indulge sin now, and then after death just cease to exist; fine by me".

Not how it works.

I don't see annihilationism as being in Scripture.

chose life or death.  They aren't similar, they are opposites.  One continues on, the other ends.

Tell me, how long could you watch a child of yours burning and on fire,

but not being burnt up?

Do you want to spend the REST OF YOUR LIFE with that EVERY SINGLE MOMENT OF EVERY SINGLE DAY?

God is JUST.   EVERY thought and action MUST BE JUST.  WITH WHAT MERCY YOU SHOW is the mercy that will be shown to you.  WATCH with what measure you mete because IT MATTERS.

WHAT exactly would your child have to do for THAT kind of retribution?

Let's say I am WRONG.  There is ETERNAL DAMNATION AND for all of eternity GOD has burning souls burning.

I get to standing there to receive from what has been in my heart and soul and what I have taught.  I HAVE TAUGHT MERCY AND FORGIVENESS and what I view as just.

HOW much trouble will that bring about?

Let's say you are WRONG.  There is no ETERNAL DAMNATION for all of eternity and GOD does not have burning souls burning, instead they were judged, the souls of those they hurt or killed were avenged, a sentence of death was given and a sentence of death was carried out.
You are standing there to receive from what has been in your heart and soul and for what you have taught.

How much trouble will that bring about?

Love your neighbor as you love yourself.

Just saying, If there is NO MERCY to be given from you, don't expect there to be  mercy given to you.

It always comes down to GOD IS JUST and holy and righteous.  And work from there.

"What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:" Romans 9:22 KJV

Destruction, Death, Destroy, Perdition, blotted out, vanish all of them speak to annihilationism

Even Satan will be turned into ashes from within

For the body, of course.

God has a different plan from man who would like to see eternal suffering for those sinners who indulged in sin and somehow got away with it easy.  Man wants revenge.

…but God’s ways are not man’s ways—thank goodness!  Our Father in heaven is a merciful God.

Here is Satan’s destiny:

Ezekiel 28:18 Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.

In Hebrews chapter 12, we read that our Father is a consuming fire. He will destroy Satan and turn him into ashes.  Does that mean he'll burn for ever and ever?  Nope.  Read verse 19:

All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more.

What does it say again?  It says that Satan will BE NO MORE!  Satan’s very name in Greek is "Apollyon" which means PERISH. That is why he is called the "Son of Perdition.”  No sin or wickedness will ever exist in the New Jerusalem (the Eternity).  Won’t that be WONDERFUL?

IT IS.  It is what it is all about.  Why do you think God will RECOMPENSE us?  These judgments have to be made or else those who don't love God would live forever.

They have to CHOSE for JUDGMENT to come.

WHY are we as SHEEP to the slaughter?  SO, GOD could TORMENT souls for all eternity?  Is THAT THE PLAN?

NO, it is so JUDGMENT that is JUST can be rendered.  DEATH is JUST to those who don't want to be a part of GODS KINGDOM.  Eternal torment is not, they don't want to be there and we don't want anyone who doesn't love GOD and HIS WAYS.

What would ETERNAL TORMENT accomplish?  They didn't ask to be born.  They were given a chance to live a life TOO GOOD FOR WORDS, and they will never see a second of it.

GOOD RIDDENCE.  And if you REALLY sit down and THINK about it, since they are in a SPIRITUAL BODY that by design is incorruptible, GOD does have a bit of leway as to how quickly that death comes.  Not like this body, that goes dead in an instant.

"While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:18 KJV

GOD could have made a bunch of robots that followed orders and said I love you.  BUT that isn't LOVE at all.  There is NO PLEASURE in that.  There is no excitement, no wonder, no awe it's all just perfunctory.

Love comes from being given a CHOICE.  And to have people make choices they have to come in both good and evil.

"Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God." Hebrews 12:2 KJV

We are WALKING through the valley of the shadow of death.  WE as SHEEP are HELPING in the separation of the sheep and the goats.  Why do we find JOY when we are persecuted?  WE ARE HELPING GOD and we will be rewarded.

It ISN'T about the words (although it is all about the words) it is about THE PLAN and our part in it.

I have said again and again, I would have NO PROBLEM being beheaded in the name of the Lord.  Do you know why?  BECAUSE THERE WILL BE THIS ONE TIME IN ALL OF ETERNITY that I can pick up my cross and follow Him.  NEVER AGAIN will this opportunity to SERVE GOD in this manner be available.

Like Jesus FOR THE JOY that is set before us...we ALL KNOW this body ends HOW MUCH BETTER IF IT DOES SO FOR THE PURPOSE AND SERVICE OF GOD.

Try to get out of that?  NEVER.  It's like Christians have forgotten or have never know what it is all about.  They look at this life like it is life when IT IS BUT A SHADOW of things to come.

Sorry, done

A thought struck me just the other day and wanted to know if you had noticed it or done any sort of study on it

Is the WRATH of God that is poured out upon the world, THE PRAYERS OF THE SAINTS?

I know, sounds odd.  Sometimes they are all of my own making, sometimes not, but, since it falls so nicely under the topic...

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
