Thank you.  One of those enjoyable reads where you hit the scroll down and find it ends and you're sad.  I'll have to hit up your “How much belief, trust, and faith equates to saving faith?", thanks for the info

@DeighAnn Reminds me also of the principle of trust in Proverbs 3.5..............

I'm Glad they taught us about God.

I am having a strange morning as far as being able to comprehend what should be simple concepts.

I understand the Bible was there, but since it couldn't be touched, and what was going on seems to not have been of anything taught in it...how could they have taught you about God.  Unless you are saying they let you know there was a Creator and disrespecting Him was not allowed...?

I do understand that each  of us come  to accept salvation that are called to do so and foreknown and predestined too. I am unaware that any one way to receive that call  is the one correct one while other ways  may be incorrect.

And isn't that one of the hardest things for some to understand.  The MANY membered body and the MANY different ways He calls, the many ways one is delivered, the many different persons to do the many different jobs that are so vastly different it's hard to believe that GOD could love them all...and want you to do so...

But I have to ask, you didn't FEEL anything before that moment?  I personally can't remember a time I didn't KNOW God existed, I may not have had any TRUTH, but there was no doubt in my person as to His being.  No tugging, poking, pulling, tapping, nothing?  No questioning?

You'll have to excuse me, but one of the hardest things I had to learn is, there is good and evil.  I am TERRIBLE at discerning the sheep from the wolves as it seems most of the wolves are better at being sheep than the sheep are, and up until I got punched in the gut TWICE within about a 6 month period, (should have heeded those warnings which I can't deny were given time and again) I TRULY believed there was GOOD in everyone.  Now, I know there is, just as written, wheat and tares and they have different fathers.

But NO CONVICTION whatsoever is STILL hard for me to keep hold of.

I'm asking in all sincerity, not poking fun... But that is off Topic &:best for another Thread-a simple yes or no will do or no response is fine as well, not to derail this Awesome Topic!

What should we name the thread?

@DeighAnn I tell my wife she seems to be a better judge of character than I am....

We pray and read the Scriptures together; by God's grace we hope to acquire a balanced all round sense of discernment....

Well done...

1My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:

2For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.

3Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:

4So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.

5Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

6In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

7Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.

8It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.

9Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:

10So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.

Thank you

Are you saying we can know God without knowing the Bible?  Sorry if I am being thick,

but I hear read and read and NOT understand,

and don't know if that does or doesn't go with read and read and UNDERSTAND

or

not read and read yet still understand.

Maybe before the foundation of the world we didn’t need the Bible because we were there with Jesus and we loved Him then—with all our heart ❤️!  … but perhaps not everyone did.

I think there was a PREDESTINED outcome for the ENTIRE plan of God,

which, when getting into the details of how it would all play out, includes some like Jeremiah, who didn't live a 'freewill' life by any means.

4Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

5Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

6Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child.

7But the LORD said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak.

8Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD.

9Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth.

Which I don't think He does very often.

I find the language Jesus uses in John's account very interesting.

John 5:21 (NAS20S) “For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, so the Son also gives life to whom He wishes.

John 6:37 (NAS20S) Everything that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I certainly will not cast out.

John 10:29 (NAS20S) My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.

John 15:16 (NAS20S) You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you.

John 17:24 (NAS20S)Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me,

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
