BTW when planning  for a mass shooting incident in facilities you have control over and responsibility for it is also necessary to have plans  in place for the aftermath of it.

Who are your go to people for emergency medical care that may already be in the building,? Do you know where in the building they are going to be found?

When it hits the fan who is the in charge person that is going to call the commands of the defensive operation?  Need to know  at least that much ahead of time all the time, if one really wants a defense set up. Otherwise it will be a circular firing squad situation followed by total chaos.

Unfortunately there is now also what is called the Ferguson Syndrome in the police community around the USA. They are most reluctant to get involved if it is a minor for they know they will automatically face personal lawsuits regardless, and have a high probability of criminal charges  if anything at all goes wrong in dealing with minors.

So where does that leave a little local church security group, or a school teacher in today's world when a kid goes nutso with a weapon?

Did you notice how the police that finally arrived on scene at a school recently when a large kid attacked a teacher's aid? They just stood around leaving all handling of the attacker to one lady school employee.  Can hardly blame them  as long as the teacher maintained control they were likely best off not to risk getting sued themselves for assisting.

It is more than crazy  what is being faced today- I do believe it to be encouraged, financed, by a very vast network out to destroy the idea of nations altogether. You know the group and the source of funds.

Please keep your own law enforcement personnel in your own daily prayers, give them your support in every way you can.

oh wait - that's only what I dreamed I would do, but then I wake up . . . :red-neck-laughing-smiley-emoticon:)

That is also a scene out of the movie War Room when the old lady faces down the mugger.

I will try to strike with stone like Moses killed the Egyptian. But it may not happen like that as i may run to the hill. Not sure.

Thanks for responding, my friend. It's only fair (and good) that I do the same and answer the question posed by your OP.

First, I'm not a stranger to this sort of thing. I've been shot at, had a gun thrust into my face, and stood while bullets tore through space all around this body (you can feel bullets when they're close). Because of this, I know precisely what I would do. I don't own guns nor do I carry one, so I won't be shooting. It's simple:

In an active shooter situation, my first priority is everyone else. I'll do whatever I can to ensure others survive so if that means being a decoy, capturing the assailants attention so that others can escape with their lives, then it's my honor to do so. I honestly don't care if I'm shot and/or killed. I never have, @R. Hartono. I'm not afraid to die.

I was already almost dead once, so I know there's nothing to fear. I've also endured quite a bit of pain during my life so I'm not afraid of pain, either. What's 90 seconds of pain compared to years of suffering a slow death?

I refuse to do the killing. There was a time when I was trained how to kill using a variety of different weapons, when I was a soldier in the U.S. Army, but that before the Lord called me from this world.

I don't serve men nor their causes, brother. I serve the Lord and I know that one day, He will gather me to Him. Is there a bullet with my name on it? Only the Lord knows. :)

Lol i got where you were getting at...but you used a lot of words to say just that, and your comment about this thread being full of "I can shoot better then everyone else" people can easily be misinterpreted.

Did I say it that way? Really, hmm, I meant to say all these threads do end up with a litney of declarations about past exploits and talents and who has what  for weaponry. It is natural I suppose in perhaps many of us.

What I was really trying to get  at is this is all on the internet-come time  anyone does get so unfortunate as to get into a shoot out with a bad guy the statements  made  going way back  are likely to be brought into the forefront of any shooting investigation  or lawsuit.

Plus ya don't want to do what our USA President has done, announce to the world at large that has has told his wife; - if there is an intruder go out on the balcony and empty the double barrel shotgun into the air to alert neighbors. That will scare them off.     Yah sure Mr. President sure.

Well, I don't know what good fruit will come from continuing this little trip through violence confrontation theory and experience so I will depart  stage left, or is it right? Maybe get myself some popcorn.

No I got it, I wasn't saying that was what you said or intended, I said that was how it could be interpreted.

I think we both know that perceptions don't always match reality...I was just answering your question...which you asked.

This has reminded me that I haven't done any target practice in awhile . . .  (that way I can get back to being able to say I can shoot better than all y'alls!:P)

Yeah, I haven't done any shooting in awhile. Though my wife did allow me to buy some 300 blackout this weekend...have enough now to go do some midnight varmint hunting. just need to find the time to do it lol.

Okay, but for the fun of it  while the popcorn is in the microwave  perhaps I'll rattle a cage or two for fun by saying I got my fourth Covid vaccine and  my flu shot together at the same time last Friday, one in each arm. And again I have had no adverse reaction.  Nah, guess I won't start such a thread-

Bing! Oh there's the popcorn. Bye for now.

I want to interject another thought on this topic. If you are close to my age, can you imagine having this discussion (mass shootings) in the 1950s, 60s, and 70s?

How fast has our society degenerated in such a short historical time frame? We are not in Kansas anymore, and evil is progressing faster than anyone can report on or put into statistics. The Bible tells us about the times we are living; as hard as it is to imagine, things will continue to worsen.

In hindsight, it appears evident to me how we arrived at this point. First and foremost, there is an apostasy occurring nationally and globally. I could write a doctoral thesaurus on taking God and the Ten Commandments out of government(s) and the public arena. The number of church doors closing and today's church attendance, humanism, evolution replacing a creator, and much more.

The statistics are staggering from my boyhood and young adult life. There used to be a stigma attached to homosexuality, those that divorced, shacked up together, got an abortion, etc. Now they are encouraged and celebrated. I will not quote statistics or percentages other than to say they are astounding.

Single-parent homes with the abandonment and absence of a father. The percentage of the population addicted to prescription and illegal pharmakeia—the percentage of couples living together outside of matrimony, on and on.

Murderous and violent video games, music, and a plethora of lethal violent movies and programs replaced God, morals, and values. No wonder our youth and society cannot differentiate between fantasy and reality, morals and evil, and right and wrong.

As I mentioned in my previous rant, our children, grandchildren, and loved ones are more likely to experience personal violence than ever. And it is escalating at an exponential rate. Drug addicts alone will do anything to get their next high, even steal from and murder their parents; having plenty of examples.

Our government(s) are encouraging and promoting societal breakdown, promoting homosexuality, wokism, the counter-culture, and defunding law enforcement. Quality law enforcement personnel are exiting the profession by the groves. Providing sanctuary cities, unrestricted drug cartel access and immigration on the southern border, gun confiscation from law-abiding citizens, so we become defenseless, and criminals released. Unpunished back on our streets, to name a few.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
