Ephesians 1:13
In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,
In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,

Ephesians 4:30
And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

Sometimes I worry that, with the example I have seen in self-righteous and arrogant believers around me, with how dark the days are and how my meekness can at times feel like weakness, that I will not endure. After all we must work out our salvation with fear and trembling:

Philippians 2:12.

Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling;

I want to believe that I am sealed, but is that arrogance? Am I strong enough/ do I have grace enough not to fall away in the apostasy?

Thoughts please 🙂

Well okay, I'll  tread where angels fear to-

I do not know how much grace you have. I do understand that the grace of my Lord and personal savior is fully  sufficient for me, - long as I am with Him, not denying Him.

He, Jesus, does not lose a one of the flock given Him by his Father. No one can take me away. Yet I do think I can - can, not may, but can -  deny my Lord and thus be lost to him by my own doing.

That kinda puts a hole in my being a Calvinist. Yet I did not have freewill in becoming aware of Jesus  my Lord either. So I now happily wear the badge of circumcision of the heart and am fully content with it.

You? I don't know. What is it you think and then conclude  as you ask of your Lord "how is it between us Lord"?

If you have heard the Word of truth (understood correctly the Word), the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, you believe in, then you have been sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise.

It is not arrogance as you continue to crucify your flesh and live for the Spirit, to believe that you are sealed.

Arrogance no.. He said it. The AMP says "The Spirit is the guarantee [the first installment, the pledge, a foretaste] of our inheritance until the redemption of God’s own [purchased] possession [His believers], to the praise of His glory."

"My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater and mightier than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand."

"Where by you are sealed unto the day of redemption. You were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,". There is no "but" "if" "maybe". I have faith in Him not me. I rest in what is already done

Philp 1:6  Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

1Pet 1:3  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, :4  To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, :5  Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Thank you all for replying, I can absolutely see God's grace in my life. The Lord has used your replies to confirm I have been called, chosen and sealed.

Sadly there are those who I just don't know if they are sealed. Loved ones and friends who say they are saved but we are told we shall know them by their fruits.

You hear stories of visions or dreams of people who are raptured up but they have left a spouse or child or parent behind.

I really pray God gives us all the mercy to wake up in time to get things right. Get sealed.

The biggest mistake you can make is to trust your feelings. Feelings are fickle and change every moment. Your trust must be in Jesus and his word. ROMANS 10:9-13 is in my opinion the golden passage of salvation. If you believe in Jesus death and resurrection and have asked him to forgive you, then you ARE saved. I am 100% proponent of OSAS. You CANNOT lose your salvation. If you have ever been truly saved at any point in your life, then you still are. Don't let doubt and fear rob you of that joy. Grieving the Spirit is NOT losing salvation, and working out your salvation is NOT getting it. Those passages are often misquoted and have become stumbling blocks to many. It is Jesus himself who assures our salvation, not us, so take heart and smile. Your name is in the book of life and it can NEVER be erased.

Agreed. Faith is based on God's truth, not how we feel about it 👍

Anyone feel quickened, as David felt? As in discernment, not emotion.

We need this so much. God's Spirit is life.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
