The Tanakh quotes quite a number of secular sources! If you are not aware of that, then it shows that you haven't studied it.

So much for your claim that you must exclude them.

Okay….

It has been fulfilled in history of you care to study this link

This does not tell me who the KOS is and certainly does not answer “why” he is the KOS.

This is simply a cut and paste from a “history” book that represents those powers that came AFTER the death of Alexander and BEFORE the 4th kingdom of pagan Rome.

The 4th kingdom is where all the important events took place- the restoration of Jerusalem after Babylon and its awaiting of the coming Messiah. His crucifixion and the set up of His church. The struggles of His early church and the demise of the Jews(70 AD), the coming of Constantine and the acceptance of Christianity in pagan Rome, the demise of pagan Rome and the coming to power of papal Rome headed by the little horn….

These are the most important prophetical events in man’s history. Each has been mentioned in the earlier chapters of Daniel and now ALL are brought together in chapter 21.

Yet, everyone has decided that chapter 11 should speak to none of these events but to a bunch of historical actors coming after Alexander AND still within the 3rd kingdom (?????).

Shouldn’t you expect to see all of the Messianic prophecies mentioned in the earlier chapters be completely discussed in the last 2 chapters?

Once again, Daniel is not a history lesson but represents His plan of salvation for the Jews and mankind. These are just low level actors after Alexander that were the closest actors available within our history books that the interpreters could identify. Instead, they should have focused on how these verses speak to His first coming, the cross, etc. which ARE ALSO FOUND IN OUR HISTORY BOOKS.

.Throw away your history books … they will not help you interpret chapter 11. But chapters 2,7,8,9 and 10 will give you all the actors and events that will allow you to identify the actors and events in 11.

Who is the King of the South (KOS) mentioned twice in chapter 11, and why do you believe your answer is so....?

Assyria-Iraq

Because of the previous wars between the US and Iraq.

Okay, but the book of Daniel is about the coining of the Messiah AND His plan of salvation for the Jews and all mankind.

You have mentioned many times that you don’t  Rome was the 4th and final kingdom. So where do you think God’s prophecies, not only actually took place in pagan Rome (His arrival, His ministry, His rejection, the cross, His resurrection, the sending of His Holy Spirit, the coming of the little horn (papal Rome), etc., but don’t you think the prophetic verses in the later chapters of Daniel should / would speak to these most important events in the history of mankind?

I can assure you these later chapters and verses speak to those things……

The question in the topic was who is the king of the south .I stated that it is assyria- Iraq and the reason for it is because of the previous wars between the king of the north and the king of the south in Daniel.

Rome has not invaded Iraq.

The United states has twice.

PS

The forth kingdom is being destroyed in these verses. It is being obliterated and Rome will probably go untouched.

Daniel 11

41 He will also invade the Beautiful Land. Many countries will fall, but Edom, Moab and the leaders of Ammon will be delivered from his hand. 42 He will extend his power over many countries; Egypt will not escape. 43 He will gain control of the treasures of gold and silver and all the riches of Egypt, with the Libyans and Cushites[e] in submission. 44 But reports from the east and the north will alarm him, and he will set out in a great rage to destroy and annihilate many.

Daniel 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 all take place in the 4th kingdom of Rome- with the obvious exceptions of MENTIONING the first 3 kingdoms. They are quickly mentioned and Gabriel moves on to the most important events in the 5th kingdom- the coming of the Messiah and the events up to 500 AD.

Certainly, there is the mention of the “true end times, but almost ALL of these verses / chapters speak to the period 606 BC to approximately 500  AD when the little horn comes to full power.

I would just ask that you might read the verses that pertain to the 4th kingdom and consider if / how they might apply to the Messiah not to some nation 2000 years in the future.

If you want to believe end time prophecies are not about end time ,that's fine by me.

I simply answer the question ,who is king of the south.I understand it by watching the prophecies being fulfilled that pertain to the king of the north and south.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
