I cannot add much to the Gospel truth Sower gave you on page four. I would encourage you to seek out a Bible-believing, Gospel-preaching church in your area and start attending. I would warn you not to participate in cult-false religious churches.

You can select a Bible-believing, Gospel-preaching church using the Internet by reading their statement of faith and church covenant on their website or social media.

Perhaps you could ask the Pastor if they offer any spiritual counseling or a referral to someone who can help you face-to-face, one-on-one, and in private.

Thanks for the response I think the meds don't do me any good I just take them cause I had to due to court orders. I agree Jesus Christ said to get baptized so I'm going to whenever I am able to, it won't hurt to do so it will only grow my faith. As for the demons they seem to have left me alone ever since I had posted this a couple days ago.

I'm not going to ask what the issue is but seeing as how your treatment was ordered by a court, and based upon my own experience dealing with clients who don't report issues with medications, you need to stay on top of that and contact your physician ASAP. I have an idea about what ails you and improper dosages and/or skipping prescribed doses will result in a return of symptoms. It can also make those symptoms much worse than if you were otherwise unmedicated.

There are a number of neurological disorders that mirror what you've shared in this topic. This is familiar.

On the other side of each message forum post is a real human being, and it's reckless to tell someone who comes claiming demons and evil spirits are attacking them "Yup makes sense".

There are people in the world with all kind of mental illnesses and playing into a delusion is going to make their problems worse. @Holytrinity I'm not trying to call you mentally ill I'm speaking in general here.

Do people think perhaps we should first investigate if someone is depressed or has a mental illness before assuming the supernatural forces of darkness are descending upon them?

Not to make this about me, but I have serious clinical depression, PTSD and suicidal ideation that I take medication for. I'd probably be dead right now if I went to a rabbi and he told me demons were attacking me instead of sending me to a psychiatrist. Mental health is not something to toy around with.

@Holytrinity Take your meds, listen to your doctor and report if things aren't working. It's perfectly fine for someone to seek advice from the like minded, in your case evangelical Christians, but never take advice on a message forum when it comes you you personal well being. Anyone can say anything on the internet, and everyone does. I have a Jewish doctor and a Jewish psychiatrist, you can certainly find a Christian doctor/psychiatrist to help you.

In some cases addressing demonic activity is justified, but certainly extremes and unscriptural practices are to be avoided. Those who have been delivered from demonic control appreciate genuine Spirit-led ministry and reject counterfeits.

Blessings @Holytrinity

You're always going to get naysayers- unbelievers are going to speak of mans" facts",scientific ' evidence " and the things you see, hear and all the ways of the worldly carnal minded - forgive the ignorance because they are under strong delusion and walk by FAITH Friend, not by sight....God's Truth is all that matters, not mans " facts"

This is not to say " stop your medications" - your body has been introduced to medications have a physical effects( as well as emotional/mental) and should be weaned off properly when the time comes, following instruction from your prescribing physician.

God Certainly Can & Does Use Physicians and medications to Heal and Help the sick......Standing Firmly Established in God's Word and through your Relationship with God in Christ Jesus youre Primary Care doctor is the Great Physician ....

Demonic possession, oppression, bondage aka spiritual warfare is very real and the root cause of malady....  Medications will help address some symptoms but they cannot deliver  from shackles and chains - only Jesus Will set you FREE!

Be Blessed, keep your eyes on Jesus and do not be distracted by the wind, the waves and storms that come and go

Balance. Just a few years after I was saved a friend gave me a book by Jesse Penn Lewis about satan and the  demonic world. I began to study till late at night, so caught up, unable to put it down. One night about two o'clock while studying, I felt a huge oppression pushing down on me. Freaked me out. I knew I was surrounded by satanic force. No doubts whatever. I admit I was scared.

Went to bed. Could feel still the oppression as if they surrounded our bed. Lots of praying. In the morning my wife ask me if I had awaken that night and felt the oppression, though I did not tell her about what happened. Told her what happened. I got rid of the book.

Now I do study about warfare, but about what God has taught me about the weapons of warfare and the armor, and my position in Christ.   Balance.

Good message Brother!

A spirit of " fear" is not of God- you did well to throw the book away and simply put on your Full Armor and standing on your Position of Victory in Christ Jesus!

I think I've defeated the demons that's been haunting me for years. Thanks be to our Lord Jesus Christ. I know they might come back one day, but I'm not too afraid now, hopefully they don't bring back stronger demons to oppress me.

You said: "I think I've defeated the demons"

Just remember what Jesus said; " For apart from Me you can do nothing"

But, "In Christ you can do all things"

To be in Christ, you must be born again, of the spirit of God.

This is God's way. The devil is a deceiver, the father of lies.

To be born again you must declare Jesus is your Lord.

I concur with the above post by Slibhin and that of @Marathoner. Stay on your medications as instructed until otherwise instructed by a medical doctor, psychiatrist, or clinical psychologist (all ones who can prescribe and administer medications). It wouldn't hurt to get a "second opinion," and there ARE doctors that are Christians and operate from a Biblical world view.

All the same, make sure that it is not a PHYSICAL problem with the meds and/or the dosage of the meds before exploring into the supernatural.

Shalom, Holytrinity.

When one is possessed by the HOLY SPIRIT of G-D, one will NOT be "haunted by ANY demons!" G-D (HaShem) is MUCH STRONGER and has ALL AUTHORITY against such wanna-be's! They cannot both occupy the same person! There's no fear AT ALL, when one has come to an end of himself or herself and asks God for His intervention through His Son's intercession between God and that person.

See, we CANNOT perform ANY acceptable works for G-D's appeasement, not even baptism! G-D ALONE must do the work that we cannot! He must step in and DECLARE us to be HIS OWN RIGHTEOUSNESS found within His Son, in spite of our sins! When He does that, and since He has already declared His Son to be OUR SIN when He was crucified upon the execution stake in spite of His righteousness, then THROUGH THAT EXCHANGE, the "GREAT EXCHANGE," we are completely forgiven for sins PAST, PRESENT, and FUTURE! "Blessed is the man (person) to whom God will NOT impute sin!" This is how one is "born again" and "adopted into G-D'S family!"

2 Corinthians 5:21 (KJV)

21 For he (G-D) hath made him (Jesus Christ) to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of G-D in him (Jesus Christ).

THAT is the "Great Exchange" in a nutshell! THAT'S how G-D'S Justification works!

The only "demon" we contend with is ourselves, @Holytrinity. Remember this: the Lord judges us according to our own deeds and words so we alone are responsible for both.

If you weren't afflicted with a serious neurological disorder, a court wouldn't have ordered treatment for you. Do you understand what causes neurological disorders like schizophrenia and the various schizotypal disorders (schizoaffective, delusion disorder, schizophrenia together with bipolar disorder, OCD, etc.)?

These and more are caused by abnormal functioning in the brain. Hence, they are neurological disorders. Involuntary psychosis is experienced because of pathology, not demons or unclean spirits. The fact that many who suffer from schizophreniform afflictions experience delusions of religious themes makes those who suffer vulnerable. How?

Because many of these delusions adhere to religious themes, those whose religious beliefs feed into these delusions only make it worse for the afflicted. You've already received the provision of the Lord:

Court-ordered treatment. Medical care. Your medication is VERY important. Taking it exactly as prescribed is just as important. That's how you will defeat your demons.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
