Jesus, the Head of His Body tells us by His Holy Spirit to `Watch....

` But, you brethren are NOT in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are NOT of the night nor of darkness.

Therefore, let us not sleep, as others do, but let us WATCH and be sober. (1 Thess. 5: 4 - 6)

So....what are YOU watching for?

Titus 2:11  For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men,:12  teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age,:13  looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,:14  who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.

2Peter 3:11  Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness,:12  looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat?:13  Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.

I'm looking for these things, but also for Jesus living in all of you, and for His soon return.

Thanks Pat,

Yes we are `eagerly waiting,` (Heb. 9: 28) for the Lord to come. However. God`s word also says -

`Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you `SEE,` the Day approaching.` (Heb. 10: 25)

So, what would we `SEE` as to the approaching Day?

That's why we are to not think more highly of ourselves than we ought and to esteem others better than ourselves just as Jesus did. When we are doing that, we will see Jesus in those we gather with and so much the more as that day is approaching fast!

I think that will be wonderful Pat. To see each other like the Lord is truly His great desire and plan.

And in the natural there is an event we will see as the Day of the LORD (God Almighty, in Judgment) is approaching.

We all watch for the return of Jesus Christ in all his power and glory.

But we all need to be watchmen for each other, in the name of God every day.  And God will hold us to account.

Eze 3:17-18

Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.  When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.

God wants us to be more than passive observers.  He wants us to be fearless spiritual warriors, wearing the full armor of God.  A watchman doesn't just watch.  He speaks with the power of the Spirit of God.  And he acts fearlessly on the direction of the Spirit of God.  A watchman is an evangelist to the unbeliever, and a minister to the believer.  And prayer, which calls on the power of God, is the most powerful armor of the spiritual warrior watchman.

Hebrews 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

I first ask myself what day is being talked about. In my meager opinion, it can be none other than the day of the Lord, the season, the Day of judgment, the approaching Tribulation period.

Matthew 25:13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

There is such a long list of things we are to be watching for, and today, there is a convergence of every one of them, bar none. Briefly, we have seen the drastic shift in alliances, military trade, and treaties between the belligerents of the Ezekiel 38 invasion, the reason for the destruction overnight of Damascus, Syria, and the destruction of Elam, and much more.

The spirit of antichrist is more evident now in America than ever before. Once a restraining force, it joined the New World Order and all it implies—lighting up the nation capitol in rainbow colors, opening a session of Congress praying to the Hindu god Brahma, and closing the pagan prayer with A Man and A Woman, to name two of many slaps to the face of God.

Matthew 24 has a lot we are commanded to watch for, all evident now. 2 Timothy 3 describes the condition of the people and the world before judgment, and the tribulation is judgment on the earth. Politics and now spelled Poly–Ticks, many blood-sucking leaders.

2 Timothy 3:1-7 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, 7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

My cyber ink well would run dry, citing all of Paul's examples.

It is no secret on Worthy that I am a big-time supporter of assembling together as the scripture clearly says. I have always been concious of the fact that there may be those who cannot assemble due to health issues and and other few issues in their areas where they live, such as transportation, availability of good churches etc. Truth is, most in USA who don't assemble don't do so because they chose not to do so, in violation of scripture.

What I had not considered until now that maybe according to the verse above, is that maybe they Don't see the Day approaching? ? ?  Hummm . . . . Have we lost awareness of what is happening around us, OR, have we become blind to it saying "Where is the promise of His coming?" AND/OR  Things continue as normal since He ascended into heaven . . . so what is the big deal ? ? ?

I am watching for the signs in the Olivet discourse that the final generation will witness before the end of this current world order.

Mark 13:37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

Hey Marilyn.. how you been. He said something to "me" key word there. "Something evil is coming on this world but before that something wonderful will happen, watch and pray watch and pray watch and pray be ready". I was just reminded of it when you asked what are you watching for. He said late 2008.. well lets say I was not at my best and right after that.. got up dusted off and still going.

I have always looked at ..well anything people talking, movies, stories "what if that was me". I always look back thinking.. everything He told us happened, He never lied. He said He is going to come back and receive us unto Him self so where He is we will be. Our elder bother Peter comes to mind "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life". Then the song "I bowed on my knees" comes to mind "then I said I want to see Jesus the one that died for me"

Where else can I look? Truth? As of late I wonder what can I give a king? Haha.. another song by Brandon Lake

All my words fall short
I got nothing new
How could I express
All my gratitude?

I could sing these songs
As I often do
But every song must end
And You never do

So I throw up my hands
And praise You again and again
'Cause all that I have is a hallelujah
Hallelujah
And I know it's not much
But I've nothing else fit for a King
Except for a heart singing hallelujah
Hallelujah

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
