White noise in your own space is the best way to drown out noise from outside.

I log in to YouTube and play rain, waterfall or stream sounds.

They run 10 hours, and many have "black screen", so there is no extraneous light.

My 'noisy neighbor' used to be buzzing in my ears. :)

Thank you! I have over 400 worship songs on my phone 📱 which I'm playing almost daily, and that helps, but I don't want to have it too loud. 😊

When and if you do decide to go loud why not go with Baht Rivka Whitten's "Ta Boom"?

As others have pointed out, noisy neighbors are inevitable, especially in the apartment setting. I've grown accustomed to the various noises which happen where I've been living for many years. Gunfire is pretty common, and I'm used to hearing that. Fireworks is another common noise around here, as is screaming on the streets. The latter can happen for a variety of reasons, usually from domestic warfare that spills outdoors. As far as the building where my apartment is concerned, it's rather quiet. I live on the top floor which helps.

I agree with Mr. M, white noise is probably the easiest way to deal with it. Depending on how far you're willing to go you could look into some soundproofing options or move the bedroom to another part of the house that's more distant to the neighbors in question. On the soundproofing front I know there are panels you can buy to put against walls and windows to reduce the amount of sound that makes its way to you.

Thank you! Yes, it is possible to get accustomed to various noises, and I'm still working on it. 🤦🏼‍♀️😊

I remember years ago, I couldn't stand sleeping in the same room with a refrigerator, but today it doesn't bother me at all if I have to.

It took some time to grow accustomed to the sounds of a city when I came to this one. I had been living in the middle of nowhere in the mountains, where the loudest noise was barking dogs.

In some cases it is unavoidable. That is especially during daytime, as tenants are allowed some level activity in their apartment.  I live in a large complex and my apartment is small but is suitable for my needs, as I still work and out of there during the 9-5 hours.  The people are mixed in their behaviour and luckily my building have decent people.  The police are always visiting somebody for domestic or other reasons and I consider that good.

By law,  loud noise had to be stopped by 10 PM.  On occasions, people celebrating ect, will go past that, and that's fine with me unless it goes till late in the morning, but I still have to bear with it.

Take the advice mentioned before and don't confront the noise makers, as the possibility you can be hurt. Calling the police is the best option and ask to remain anonymous, so as to avoid any confrontation later on.

I myself lately,  play sermons or others and may fall asleep and sometimes it continues till morning.  I turn down the volume , so it is acceptable .

Noise that is at an unacceptable level is not good for health, as it affects your sleeping pattern and other things with concentration ect.  Your landlord has to take measures to control the situation and the only other situation is to relocate as I see it.  Not worth the trouble of warring with the neighbours, as it can cause harm to body and who knows what else.

If it is outside of the landlord area, then you have no alternatve but to move as I see it.   Moving today is expensive and finding proper alternative is tedious.

Shalom. 😊

Have you ever lived in a place with rooms and apartments, where a few of the neighbors are noisy, and especially during the night when you wanna sleep?

How do you deal with it, and do you have any advice how to deal with it in a way that is good for a true follower of The Lord?

Yep. Move. I'm being serious.

Back in 1977 I lived in a duplex. The other tenant was a nurse that worked the night shift. Meanwhile, I was a hi-fi salesman with a 200 Watt per Channel Dynaco amplifier. It could get really, really loud. But I tried to be polite and kept it down. Then one day I was listening to "Go" by Stomu Yamashta, and it had this one point where a single beat of one of those huge japanese bass drums came in. The music was very quiet, but that single beat was enough for me to sense the almost subsonic quality of it.

Two minutes later she's outside banging on my door. This was around two in the afternoon.

I just quite playing the stereo at all and found a different place to live. Now I'm in Rural Kentucky and my nearest neighbor is several hundred yards away. We have a full rehearsal studio now and no problems. :spot_on:

Sometime in the early 70's my wife and I moved back to Houston and lived in our first (and ONLY apt) apartment. Two story, we had the lower. Above us was a couple about in their 30's, and next to them was a hippie. The hippie played loud music when we did so no problem. I worked construction an early riser. It became a regular routine sometime about midnight for the couple above us to start arguing, shouting and knocking things around.

Got so bad I would wake up and  jumped up on our bed and banged on the ceiling, more than once. Noise stopped.  At late morning they would silently come down the stairs, the woman with a scarf around her head wearing sun glasses hiding her face. Every time.

One evening while watching TV we heard our gate door latch being closed on our tiny patio assuming someone came to visit. After waiting awhile and still no knock I opened the door and cut on the porch light.  face.jpg.f419eebef22a9f8b39e77552a9241fb2.jpg

A woman was squatting there dress hiked while peeing a big puddle next to our BBQ smoker screaming for me to cut off the light.
Unless God directed us, we would never live in an apt so close to people knowing we all have habits that can irritate each other.

We now live in the wooded country on 30 acres. Our closest neighbors are the owls fox and deer, coons snakes and scorpions, hawks javelinas, ferrell cats dogs and hogs etc.   We get along fine...(If I could just keep the deer away from the fruit trees:)

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
