I saw something in this verse this morning: "To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne."  (Rev 3:21)  Then this came to me: "God is Spirit"  and I began to get excited!

I always had a wonderment and funny notions about how all these ones were going to sit on God's throne.  That is, we have God the Father sharing His throne with the Son, then there will be all the overcoming children sharing it too - so is this one really humongous throne or . . . ?  Before this morning, I was considering these things as being more in the natural/physical realm.  However, God is a Spirit, and He sends the Spirit of sonship to dwell in us.  And, of course, His Spirit was certainly in Jesus too.

So when Jesus says, "sit with Me on My throne,"  I think this is a matter the spiritual realm with God's Spirit fully one with us!  And we have become the "one new man" with one Spirit.  God is in Christ and Christ is in us, and we have been made one in Him - we are being (or have been?) brought into this amazing spiritual oneness of the Triune God (Father/Son/Spirit)!

Do you see what I'm feebly trying to convey here?  I don't see it real clearly, but I sense something supremely glorious is here! :yeah:

"That all of them may be one, Father, just as You are in Me and I am in You. May they also be in Us so that the world may believe that You have sent Me. I have given them the glory that You gave me, that they may be one as We are one— I in them and You in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity."

John 17:21-23

Hi VA,

Oh, something good to think upon.

Now, the Godhead have their `throne,` authority over all. Then as the Son has a glorified body He is visibly seen in third heaven, (angelic realm) and He has His OWN throne, (Rev. 3: 21) His own authority given of the Father.

That is the authority (throne) we will share with the Lord.

And sitting on God's throne is a fulfillment of Genesis 1:26, "Let them have dominion."

Hi, However I think the power in the passage is the serious warning that one may be as vomit to be spewed out  by Jesus, that there need be strong enthusiasm, not passivity, in one's worship of Jesus nor casualness in one's fellowship under him. There is urgent necessity to change "to overcome" what is, before it is too late to do so.

That's precisely where I'm at, brother. The truth is so unspeakably magnificent that I cannot fathom but an inkling of what it means to sit with the Son of God upon His throne. Praise God!

Your reflection on Revelation 3:21 is truly inspiring and touches upon the profound mystery of our union with Christ. This verse, where Jesus promises that those who overcome will sit with Him on His throne, indeed speaks to a deep spiritual reality that transcends our physical understanding.

This throne is not a massive physical seat but a spiritual place of honor and unity. Through the Spirit, we are united with Christ, and thus with the Father. As you rightly pointed out, the Spirit of sonship dwells in us (Romans 8:15), making us children of God and co-heirs with Christ (Romans 8:17). This profound oneness is the essence of the "one new man" (Ephesians 2:15), where we are brought into the divine fellowship of the Triune God.

Your excitement is a testament to the incredible nature of this promise. It is indeed supremely glorious to think that we are invited into such an intimate relationship with the Creator, sharing in His divine life and mission. This spiritual oneness is a reality that we are both experiencing now and will fully realize in the age to come.

Both are rodents. How many parasites and diseases do they carry?

Wild hogs as an example have close to 40 parasites or diseases to gift to the unsuspecting.

How many parasites and diseases do humans carry? Are they all to be "headshot" for the burrowing by them on earth's surfaces?

Lawns are not of nature, but instead are of man's disruptive interference upon nature's pristine wilds; wild grasses, fields, and meadows, all being different from manicured water consuming pesticide and fertilizer needy lawns. Ban the lawn!

Let the hedgehog live in peace.  Sincerely, Sonic

I don't use any chemicals on my burnt lawn. I do have to mow it though by city mandate and I don't want to struggle with holes, ridges and a potential sprained or broken ankle. Here in Virginia it is open season on various varmint that need culling. I cannot discharge a firearm in city limits but I can make use of air actuated gun within my property as long as the pellet doesn't cross property lines.

Hunting is also useful for culling large deer herds which Virginia is encountering. I've never hunted for food and don't plan to start now. Hitting a deer while driving will ruin your day. Hitting a moose  on the roads up near the Canadian border may kill you.

I like having dominion over the fish, fowl and furry critters. Thank you Almighty God for making me slightly smarter than the pests!

Actually I hire that service, but would like to change away from it. A few of the neighbors now have all plants/flowers and no lawn at all, but really only one maintains their own attractively, the one next to me has allowed theirs to become an unsightly weed patch.

Seems flower beds and plants are more work to maintain nicely than is lawn handled by the lawn service and pest control companies.

And I just today bought home  yard pest killer as the plant maintenance service will not come out till the middle of the month for a problem I am having with about 20 bushes. They are totally stripped of leaves right now.  Fortunately it is only 100 degrees f. out with 86% humidity, otherwise I would find it very hard to  do the spraying myself. LOL

Time for a place on a street of gold!

Yes, we need to be sure not to overlook the condition that comes with "sit with Me on My throne" - namely, "To him who overcomes"!  And to the ones in the Laodicean condition, this means to overcome their luke-warmness and buy from Him the gold tried by fire.

And to me, that means living now by the overcoming life of the One in me and not my natural proclivities!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
