A long long time ago I think I sounded like you- God Was Drawing me unto Himself yet I was just doing my own thing, zig zagging along in my own sweet time

On 3 separate occasions,3 different strangers stopped me in my tracks to say" Run to Lord, don't walk- RUN,while He May Still Be Found"

The first and 2nd time seemed odd but the 3rd was just outrageous- still, though I thought about it often I did my own thing- I probably could have been spared some of the hardships I was to face ,not wanting to surrender and fall to my knees so I was brought to my knees eventually ,in a very terrifying way ..... boy I'm glad,so glad, death was chasing me and I didn't even know until thst terrifying day that turned into a the best day of my LIFE

So now twice I said to you---' Run,run to the Lord while He may be Found.....I do Hope you have a 3rd call and get there in time❤️

Death was chasing you? What do you mean?

You are right I am in the same place I was when I got here. I see no spiritual growth for myself. I want to give up with this Christian bs. I think once I'm on the otherside done with nursing and my life calms down maybe I'll try again with God.

Peter says:

"But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen." (2 Peter 3.18)

For this to happen, there does need to be the new birth (John chapter 3) in the first place.

Well, remember it's the inward that counts:

"For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal." (2 Corinthians 4.16-18)

"And a certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, which worshipped God, heard us: whose heart the Lord opened, that she attended unto the things which were spoken of Paul." (Acts 16.14)

The Lord Jesus said: "Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again." (John 3.7)

It is possible you are trying to make s/Spiritual things flesh and the vice versa ...
Romans 8:11-16 (KJV)

[11] But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

[12] Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.

[13] For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

[14] For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

[15] For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

[16] The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

I wasnt going to do what I thought. I'm just frustrated is all. I feel stuff working against me. It's hard for me to trust God. Idk how to make myself do that.

I get it. You spoke out of the heat of the moment. I've done it. I've seen people on this forum do it. Just have to move on and hopefully manage to resolve the underlying circumstances. As for trusting God I believe we can do that through our actions. Our circumstances and moods may say one thing, but we know that God would have us act a certain way. If we defy our circumstances we can show faith by choosing what God would have us to do, though I realize that path isn't always clear. It ties in to what's said in the book of James about faith and works.

Speaking of which, James also gave an example of seeing a brother or sister in a state of destitution and just saying "be warm and filled" without doing anything to help them. I think we can often essentially do that by sharing platitudes and not at least offering to help. I realize it's difficult to help from a distance and could be difficult and awkward, especially knowing your mental health issues, but if you're comfortable with asking and accepting help from strangers maybe there's someone on the forum who might be in your area and able to help somehow?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
