Interesting as the USA goes into drill baby drill  kill the electric car  open up new coal fired electric power plants, ol  China  puts on a show to  go green new deal. 

Who( What countries) are likely to become  leaders on this planet as the world's population and in fact all life faces climate problems? POTUS may be handing Xi an extra wild card to play in this poker game.

Xi might well use it to trump the USA. Looks like it anyway.

The Chinese economy is not doing well and tariffs will hurt his economy much more than it will ours.   Anyway the tariffs are not for a finance fight, it is to make the CCP stop sending the ingredients of drugs to the cartels in Mexico.

However, if it does raise the prices of Chinese imports, we'll just buy American products.  Stopping the export of Drugs is the best way to make an effect on us temporarily, but in the long run would create such a hatred for China we'd stop using their products at all.  Since Trump is trying to move manufacturing back to the US, in the long run both Trump and the USA wins.

Including Fentanyl? Seriously, the problem with drug use is in the users the end consumers.  

The idea that  drug use will stop as soon as China, Mexico, Canada, feels the bit of tariffs that raise cost of goods for USA residents is plain nutty. All tariffs will do is make those already stuggling  feel the pain evermore. Many more will turn to illegal drugs to ease their pain of feeling they have failed to be able to make it in America.

They will need to steal  and/or prostitute in order  to pay for their illegal drugs which will be manufactured right at home in the good ol' USA; just like they have been on my own as well as many many other  residential streets in the USA.

In th emeantime Agent Musk is going to save us money by killing all charitable enterprises dependent upon USAID. Okay, so who is going to pick up  the shortfall? Any one, anyone at all? Or is it every person for himself?

Make American Babylon great again. Really, be tight fisted be for self only, for we are to only like  winners.

It is indeed, just as drug cartels operate within U.S. borders; the mountains of this state are a haven for their labs and human trafficking enterprise, and this isn't the only state where this is going on. A cartel operates hundreds of so-called "pop-up barbershops" in the city where I live, which is a phrase for mobile drug-dealing venues. Mobile, in order to evade surveillance and identification by law enforcement. They are constantly on the move. These mobile dealers can be run out of vehicles... bicycles... motorcycles... RVs... apartments where people with no criminal record rent (that's common)... and so on.

Hi, Thanks for sharing that information. And thanks for your dedication to helping  individuals that are in such dire need whether by their own doings or by circumstances that befall them.

It is my "impression" is that prisons do not help  drug abusers ( end users), but that  some very serious consequence and help is needed. Perhaps  confinement  in a treatment facility is part of the need. I hear from law enforcement that it is.

But the borders being wide open, to feed clothe, house and financial assistance for all coming in. Your own house first, is America first.
