Do you think the lukewarm Christian will go to heaven? I don't think they will go in the rapture of the Church but will have an opportunity to become a born again Christian in the 7 year tribulation.

Hey you :) My personal belief here is they are saved.. He said He was "about to" spit them out. Not written He did that. I am not under the belief "lukewarm" = lost. Same with backslidden.

See to say lukewarm is lost is nothing more then speculation. Its why I said "my personal" belief. Just because He said repent.. do we not all repent if we sin and if we say forget to repent once twice.. are we then lost?  Haha God forbid. Again some treat this like He said "I have spit you out". That never happened. He said I am about to. So right up to that moment they were all still saved... I believe

Well sure, there may be some meeting with the church who are not saved - yet by definition (ekkelsia = called-out ones) unsaved are not part of the church.  When the Lord gives the letters to the 7 churches, these are given to regenerated believers, not unsaved.*

Now may the church get lukewarm and allow those who are not regenerated into their midst, who would then cause issues?  Sure.  (which would probably cause more lukewarmness among the believers)

*"He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit is speaking to the churches" - again, by definition, this is to regenerated ones.

Yes, hence the tension that lies there... I don't mind God has so written things as it causes me to have to search, study and wait upon Him!

Amen!  Just today I was thinking of doing a poll something like: "What percentage of your own theology do you suspect of being correct?"  But of course, we don't know what we don't know and can't shine light on ourselves!

My own answer to that might be around 80%, but I suspect that's high . . . :kanoso:

Just to add, on what I call "core theology" (the main thing) I think I'm closer to 95% - but on the more fringe stuff, maybe sorta kinda perhaps 70%.

(and for showing humbleness at least 110%)

There are cores that one can be 100% on because the Bible states it specific to the tee... the rest I only go to as much as can be known and wait there ... it really helps me to have a professional Bible Software system as I don't have the horsepower myself... I thank God all the time for letting me live here and now so that I have such excellent tools to use in getting to know Him through His excellent Word...

For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known. - 1Co 13:12

I suspect that we all only know in part and not perfect in our understanding of God and his ways.  If someone told me that they were 100% accurate in their theology and have everything figured out I would get away as far as I could from that person, because they are headed disasters fall.

Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you thinks that he is wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise. For the wisdom of this world is folly with God. For it is written, "He catches the wise in their craftiness," and again, "The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, and its all worthless" - 1Co 3:18-20

Yes, they may go to Heaven if God is  willing. I'll let God decide who he wants in heaven or not that's not my job. Our God is Sovereign!

Shalom!

I imagine there are going to be many people in his Kingdom that we would never have thought will be there and vise versa there were be many who we thought should be there but are not.  God and him alone is will be the judge of who enters his Kingdom.  He will expose everyone's deeds, thoughts, words on that great day good or bad.

My exact thought! I agree!

But truth be heard, I have many people in my view when I see their actions I often ask myself are they really Christian? Born again? Really real Christian?

But then I swiftly gets humbled by God by rememberence of these two instance in the bible-

1st One where the thief receives the gift of being with Jesus in paradise right before his death, where he never had a single chance to do any good work or make any of his wrong doings a right doing, he just humbled himself and recognized Jesus for who He was.

2nd scripture by Jesus himself(this ones humbles me faster than anything else ..lol)

Luke 18:10-14

10 “Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. 11 The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other people—robbers, evildoers, adulterers—or even like this tax collector. 12 I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.’

13 “But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner.’

14 “I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
