Ten Horns - Ten Kings

True. But at the point and time of Israel's history, 5 prominent empires, with kings, had fallen, and one was.

Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Mede/Persia, and Greece, and the one that was at the time was Rome. The last four also metaphorically referred to by Daniel as "beast." 

Was that part of the prophesy literal? Or am I taking it "further than intended" by the angel speaking to the Apostle John?
If it is literal, why wouldn't the the seventh be as well, properly metaphorically referred to as mountains or beast?

The beast is a civil empire, the woman is religious empire of diverse idolatry that has been since  Egypt, and in Assyria, Babylon, Mede/Persia, Greece, and Rome as a civil governments, not a religious institution. 

Rev 17:1 - And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters [peoples, mutlitudes, nations, tongues, through put history]
 2 With whom the kings of the earth [civil governments] have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication [worship of false gods].
 3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.

Re 17:9 And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains [civil empires], on which the woman [various idolatrous systems/religion] sitteth.
 10 And [of course] there are seven kings [over the seven mountains]: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.
 11 And the beast that was [Rev.13:1 in its entire prophetic symbolism, from the birth of Israel to the coming of the Lord], and is not, even he is [primarily prophetic of] the eighth [which is why there is no eighth head or king], and is of the seven, and goes into perdition.

It is simple history that the civil government of Rome destroy the temple, Jerusalem, and the geographical nation and institutional government of Israel in the siege of 70 a.d.  

It is also simple history that England, and empire upon which it was said "The sun never sets on the British Empire" had Palestine as part of it common wealth  at the time of it's rebirth in 1948,  after which King George only lived 4 short years after that time leaving the throne to his daughter Elizabeth till here recent passing no long ago.

It is also simple historical truth that America was started through colonization of England, and that France and Spain also attempt to lay hold of continental soil as sovereign land, and that historically all 3 were , as one my say, plucked by the root of of it.

It can equally be said that America began and continues to a land of immigrants.

So is cannot be denied that America fits being "the eight, and of the seven."

Thus the Last Beast is the Anti-Christ alone, I think that is why his number is 666 (Man).

Dan. 7:17 These great beasts, which are four, are four kings, which shall arise out of the earth.

Finally in Rev. 17, the Scarlet Colored Beast is not Satan nor the Anti-Christ he is Apollyon the 8th King. He has NO CROWNS anywhere, why? He's under Satan on earth and he's not a human man, BUT......ALAS God loves His riddles, he is the King of the Bottomless Pit. He is placed there by God after having been placed as the Destroyer over Israel by Satan, and thus he was over the MSR Kingdoms including Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Persia, Greece and Rome then he was placed in the pit for the duration of the Church Age and will be freed at the First Woe. It is my contention that the Demon Michael fought with for 21 days in Daniel ch. 10 was Apollyon. 

Now, taking into account this thesis of mine, that Rome is the current E.U. (Complete Rome Revived) and then looking at the nations they (E.U.) would conquer in Dan. 11:40-43, if the E.U. conquered Countries to get at Israel (Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan and Syria, then Israel, and then all of North Africa, BOOM, you get these two maps, you get Papa Rome and his Son.

By the way, look up European Neighborhood Policy, the E.U. currently has 7 Year Agreements (Dan. 9:27) with Israel and every nation in the Mediterranean Sea Region, I joke no, Israel, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Egypt, Libya, Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia. They are THE MANY he Conquers Israel and THE MANY. Read Dan. 11:40-43 its a play by play, he can conquer every nation but is FOREBIDDEN from Conquering Edom, Moab and Ammon, that is where the Petra/Bozrah area the Jews flee unto is at.

Ok. I see where you are coming from. As we speak, major events are taking shape in the Middle East. How does Israel's current takeover of the region ( " greater Israel" as they call it) factor in time wise with your scenario? And how does Satan fit in with all of this?

I read this verse as stating that the Ten Kings preceded the Antichrist and gave him their power. I could be wrong, though.

Revelation 17:12 And ^kthe ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. 13 These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.

As you mention, I view the A/C becoming the Beast with ascension from the pit, on or shortly before the Temple's abomination of desolation and desecration. Again, I am not dogmatic and would not argue over it.

The Beast comes at the 1260, when he goes forth conquering, the 10 kings  (E.U.) is here now, so is the Anti-Christ man, he's just not THE BEAST until he conquers Israel and THE MANY or all the nations on the Mediterranean Sea Coastline not in the E.U. 

Apollyon the Scarlet Beast is freed from the Bottomless Pit, he is the 8th King. The 10 Kings or European Union, rule ONE HOUR (1260 days....OVER Israel) with the Beast but that is all they can rule over Israel, that is all the time God  has allotted the Beast and 10 Kings to rule over Israel, but they do not just appear out of thin air as rulers brother, they are currently the E.U. (10 = Completion) and the Anti-Christ will be their President, even before he Conquers Israel. God just gives us the allotted time he is a Beast.

Nothing going on now probably matters too much, Iran has already brought Israel closer to the Saudis, Egypt, Jordan, the UAE etc. etc. The Gog and Magog war is the hook God uses to get Israel to get so desperate instead of calling on Him, they join the E.U. that is the Covenant/Agreement that kicks off everything.

The jews made a covenant with death a long time ago, and crucified God in the flesh as a forever statement....

Every Christian should read Isaiah 65 and really let the words sink in. There is absolutely no future promise of salvation for a nation of people called " Israel".

We must keep in mind that the people in Israel today share no identity/ DNA with OT Israel. They are not even semites  (and you can find all this information out, please don't condemn the messenger, I just happen to do my homework). 

Anyway, Isaiah 65:

Isaiah 65:11-15
But ye are they that forsake the LORD, that forget my holy mountain, that prepare a table for that troop, and that furnish the drink offering unto that number.
[12]Therefore will I number you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter: because when I called, ye did not answer; when I spake, ye did not hear; but did evil before mine eyes, and did choose that wherein I delighted not.
[13]Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, my servants shall eat, but ye shall be hungry: behold, my servants shall drink, but ye shall be thirsty: behold, my servants shall rejoice, but ye shall be ashamed:
[14]Behold, my servants shall sing for joy of heart, but ye shall cry for sorrow of heart, and shall howl for vexation of spirit.
[15]And ye shall leave your name for a curse unto my chosen: for the Lord GOD shall slay thee, and call his servants by another name:

1) Who forsook the LORD?

2) Who are the servants, God's chosen, called by another name? 

But this is where the world is right now, under strong delusion, so God's end time plan follows through.
