The ministry of the Apostle Paul has already provoked to jealousy. Rabbinic Judaism is the result.

From

Judaism 101

"Since the destruction of the Temple, the role of the kohanim has diminished, and rabbis have taken over the spiritual leadership of the Jewish community.  In this sense, the rabbi has much the same role as a Protestant minister, ministering to the community, leading community religious services, and dealing with many of the administrative matters related to the synagogue."

"Kohein

The kohanim are the descendants of Aaron, chosen by God at the time of the incident with the Golden Calf to perform certain sacred work, particularly in connection with the animal sacrifices and the rituals related to the Temple After the destruction of the Temple, the role of the kohanim diminished significantly in favor of the rabbis; however, we continue to keep track of kohein lineage."

"Levi

The entire tribe of Levi was set aside to perform certain duties in connection with the Temple.  As with the Kohanim, their importance was drastically diminished with the destruction of the Temple,"

"From Temple to Synagogue

"Clearly, however, the concomitant development of the synagogue as an institution, along with the gradual ascendancy of prayer over sacrifice as a means of worship, prepared Judaism for the new situation brought about by the destruction of the Temple. By the time the Temple was taken away, its replacement had already been created. From that time on the daily prayers would serve in place of sacrifice, and the synagogue, the “Temple in miniature,” would replace the central sanctuary in Jerusalem. Jews would look forward to the rebuilding of the Temple and the restoration of its system of worship. But the Jewish people was equipped with a portable system of worship which it could carry throughout its wanderings, and which would preserve the closeness to God that had once been symbolized and embodied in the Jerusalem" Temple."

As the times of Israel says, most Israelies are not religious. https://www.timesofisrael.com/religion-has-outsized-role-in-israel-yet-most-of-its-jews-arent-really-observant/

So what relevance do historic biblical promises  have for them.

My response concerned not Israel's problem, but Chrisian notions about Israel.

The bible give clear information about how God regards those who do not obey/follow his laws.

Are people ignorant of the curses he proclaimed on those who disobeyed his laws?

It's my understanding that, one day, Jesus will reveal himself fully to Israel (and the world) and then Israel and all of its Jews will follow Jesus and be saved.

Romans 11:25

25 Lest you be wise in your own sight, I do not want you to be unaware of this mystery, brothers: a partial hardening has come upon Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.

I think folks forget that the Lord chose the Jews to reveal Himself to the world. He still has plans for the Jews in the end times.

I truly don't understand. What am I missing, please?

Jesus warned us about our human nature with prophetic hints like Matthew 16:18 (in contrast to the ways of God) and being ultimately influenced by Satan (which is why he called Peter that in Matthew 16:23). He echoed this at the opposition of the Jewish leaders (John 8:44). But this is a nature that plagues us all. And what we must overcome once we have the Holy Spirit of God living in us through faith in Christ Jesus the LORD. To live by the Spirit rather than the flesh.

That being said. The devil hates God. This is why his influence affects so many people in the world. They either hate God outright, or they submit to some reinvention of a god that fits their liking. The devil hates Christians which is why there has been so much persecution of Christians over the millennia. The devil loathes Jewish people because they are the people God called and set aside to usher his word into this realm in two forms (the Bible and the Living Word Jesus) to accomplish God's plan of salvation / redemption.

So, even as believers we must overcome our sin nature (stop listening to it / being influenced by it / following its lusts)... and part of that human nature is a thick dose of antisemitism. I have heard believers bad mouth the Jewish people until they were corrected by how God feels about the Jewish people. Then they repent and love them if for no other reason than God loves them.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

Rom 3:19 Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. {guilty … : or, subject to the judgment of God }

Irrevocable. Partial blindness. So what if some do not believe???

Ro 3:3  For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?

Ro 9:22  What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction: {fitted: or, made up }

The Apostle Paul in verse 22 includes himself in that description. He does that in verse 23. Posted below.

Romans 9:22-27

New International Version

22 What if God, although choosing to show his wrath and make his power known, bore with great patience the objects of his wrath—prepared for destruction?

23 What if he did this to make the riches of his glory known to the objects of his mercy, whom he prepared in advance for glory

— 24 even us, whom he also called, not only from the Jews but also from the Gentiles? 25 As he says in Hosea:

“I will call them ‘my people’ who are not my people;
and I will call her ‘my loved one’ who is not my loved one,”

26 and,

“In the very place where it was said to them,
    ‘You are not my people,’
there they will be called ‘children of the living God.’”[j]

27 Isaiah cries out concerning Israel:

“Though the number of the Israelites be like the sand by the sea,
only the remnant will be saved.

Yes. How God distinctly shows himself by those under the law.

Paul represented the New Testament Lord, Jesus Christ who died for the sins of the people and does not want any sinners to be perish.

Some others they still linger in the Lord of the Old Testament and how he had dealt with sin because at that stage in their lives they did not had the Revelation of Paul whom himself did not have them at first but at some time later in his life.

And they were bringing the things of the Old Testament into the New even though they know that there was a change in Lordship from the Old into the New.

The Lord of the New has died for the Sins of all people.  And God has given him all the earth to be his people. He reins over all the earth. The walls are taken down.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
