Do you believe the Millennial 'animal sacrifices' were given in Ezekiel because they did not yet understand/have knowledge of 'the Lamb of God' and/or understand mortal death vs spiritual death and/or for us to learn something from them (I have not yet learned, obviously by the question I am asking)?

Many Claim Ezekiel Chapters 40-46, Represents A Future Temple In A Millennium On Earth Where Animal Sacrifice Will Take Place, Is This True?

As clearly shown, Ezekiel Chapter 43 showed the temple "Pattern" to the House of Israel in the Babylonian Captivity let "Them" measure, Ezekiel was instructed to write the ordinances and law in "Their" sight, that "They" keep them, not some future generation as many "Falsely" claim

The temple seen in Ezekiel Chapters 40-46 is nothing more than the 2nd Zerubbabel Temple built 536BC after the Babylonian Captivity, where animal sacrifice for "Sin" was instructed by "God", prior to the shed blood of Jesus Christ on Calvary, don't be deceived

Ezekiel 43:10-11 & 19-21KJV

10 Thou son of man, shew the house to the house of Israel, that they may be ashamed of their iniquities: and let them measure the pattern.

11 And if they be ashamed of all that they have done, shew them the form of the house, and the fashion thereof, and the goings out thereof, and the comings in thereof, and all the forms thereof, and all the ordinances thereof, and all the forms thereof, and all the laws thereof: and write it in their sight, that they may keep the whole form thereof, and all the ordinances thereof, and do them.

19 And thou shalt give to the priests the Levites that be of the seed of Zadok, which approach unto me, to minister unto me, saith the Lord God, a young bullock for a sin offering.

20 And thou shalt take of the blood thereof, and put it on the four horns of it, and on the four corners of the settle, and upon the border round about: thus shalt thou cleanse and purge it.

21 Thou shalt take the bullock also of the sin offering, and he shall burn it in the appointed place of the house, without the sanctuary.

Me too!

The promise of eternal inheritance.

Heb 9:15  And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

What are the wicked doing in the eternal inheritance? They are not there.

The word for eternal in the above is used variously everlasting, or eternal

Here are some verses that use the same Greek for eternal in Heb 9:16

Eternal life

Joh 6:68  Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.
Ac 13:46  Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.
1Ti 6:12  Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
1Ti 6:19  Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.
Tit 1:2  In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; {In: or, For }
Tit 3:7  That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Eternal God                                                                                                                                        Ro 16:26  But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:

Eternal glory                                                                                                                                      2 Ti 2:10  Therefore I endure all things for the elect’s sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.

Eternal salvation
Heb 5:9  And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

Eternal spirit

Heb 9:14  How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

I also checked the Greek old testament.

Eternal covenant of salt

Nu 18:19  All the heave offerings of the holy things, which the children of Israel offer unto the LORD, have I given thee, and thy sons and thy daughters with thee, by a statute for ever: it is a covenant of salt for ever before the LORD unto thee and to thy seed with thee.
Eternal joy

Isa 51:11  Therefore the redeemed of the LORD shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee away.

Interesting

Covenant of salt with David

2Ch 13:5  Ought ye not to know that the LORD God of Israel gave the kingdom over Israel to David for ever, even to him and to his sons by a covenant of salt?

I Appreciate all of the verses you listed. Would you agree that David is another name for the Lord Jesus Christ? A symbolical reference?

Hey T7,

Why do you only include up to Chapter 46?

Chapters 47 and 48 follow chapters 40-46.

Chapter 47 begins with ... "THEN" .... which is a continuation of dialogue from 46.

"THEN he brought me to the backdoor of the house" (all part of the temple complex).

Chapter 47 goes on to describe the rivers flowing out from the temple, going into the seas, and the seas became fresh water.... and fishermen casting their nets and hauling in very many fish...... Has this happened.... yet?

Chapter 48 talks about the portioning of the land of Israel for the 12 tribes and the Lord ...... and it talks about the city gates with the names of the 12 tribes of Israel on them..... what about this? ... Has this happened?

It is quite obvious from reading Ezekiel from chapters 40 to the end that it is one continuous narrative, and not broken up, as people like to claim. They break it up to align with their false theory.

Why don't we back up a few verses and read what a person seeking truth should not avoid:

Ezek 43:6-9:

Then I heard one speaking to me from the house, while a man was standing beside me. 7He said to me, “Son of man, this is the place of My throne and the place of the soles of My feet, where I will dwell among the sons of Israel forever. And the house of Israel will not again defile My holy name, neither they nor their kings, by their harlotry and by the corpses of their kings when they die, 8by setting their threshold by My threshold and their door post beside My door post, with only the wall between Me and them. And they have defiled My holy name by their abominations which they have committed. So I have consumed them in My anger. 9“Now let them put away their harlotry and the corpses of their kings far from Me; and I will dwell among them forever.

Was this only for the generation that  was the house of Israel during the Babylonian captivity ?.... as you suggest.

Or is it for future generations who will .... "not again defile My holy name, neither they nor their kings, by their harlotry and by the corpses of their kings when they die..."

Did the House of Israel and their Kings defile Gods Holy Name since their captivity from Babylon? .... Of course they did.

So Ezek 40-48 is not talking about a generation following the Babylon captivity but it is talking about .... what?.....  Which generation?

 T7 .... it's time for TRUTH.

Sometimes the Lord Jesus is spoken of as 'great David's greater son'. Psalm 110 sees the Psalmist speaking Messianically of the Lord Jesus as 'Lord'.

Joe do you actually believe the Lord God will be instructing mortal men in the future regarding "animal blood sacrifice for sin" after the cross of Calvary?

"No" below It was instruction for the 2nd Zerubabbel temple built in 536BC after the Babylonian Captivity, prior to the Lord's shed blood on Calvary

Ezekiel 43:19-21KJV

19 And thou shalt give to the priests the Levites that be of the seed of Zadok, which approach unto me, to minister unto me, saith the Lord God, a young bullock for a sin offering.

20 And thou shalt take of the blood thereof, and put it on the four horns of it, and on the four corners of the settle, and upon the border round about: thus shalt thou cleanse and purge it.

21 Thou shalt take the bullock also of the sin offering, and he shall burn it in the appointed place of the house, without the sanctuary.

You do know that the Messianic Covenant God made with David in 2 Samuel 7 and 1 Chronicles 17 is talking about the Messiah Yeeshuwa` (the Christ Jesus), right? It can't be talking about Solomon, for Solomon was not made king AFTER David slept with his fathers. Therefore, Solomon is NOT the "seed" mentioned in this Covenant:

2 Samuel 7:1-17 (KJV)

1 And it came to pass, when the king sat in his house, and the LORD had given him rest round about from all his enemies; 2 That the king said unto Nathan the prophet,

"See now, I dwell in an house of cedar, but the ark of God dwelleth within curtains."

3 And Nathan said to the king,

"Go, do all that [is] in thine heart; for the LORD [is] with thee."

4 And it came to pass that night, that the word of the LORD came unto Nathan, saying,

5 "Go and tell my servant David,

"'Thus saith the LORD,

"'"Shalt THOU build ME an house for me to dwell in? 6 Whereas I have not dwelt in [any] house since the time that I brought up the children of Israel out of Egypt, even to this day, but have walked in a tent and in a tabernacle. 7 In all [the places] wherein I have walked with all the children of Israel spake I a word with any of the tribes of Israel, whom I commanded to feed my people Israel, saying, 'Why build ye not me an house of cedar?'"'

8 "Now therefore so shalt thou say unto my servant David,

"'Thus saith the LORD of hosts,

"'"I took thee from the sheepcote, from following the sheep, to be ruler over my people, over Israel: 9 And I was with thee whithersoever thou wentest, and have cut off all thine enemies out of thy sight, and have made thee a great name, like unto the name of the great [men] that [are] in the earth. 10 Moreover I will appoint a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in a place of their own, and move no more; neither shall the children of wickedness afflict them any more, as beforetime, 11 And as since the time that I commanded judges [to be] over my people Israel, and have caused thee to rest from all thine enemies."

"'Also the LORD telleth thee that HE will make THEE an house.

12 "'"And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom. 13 HE SHALL BUILD AN HOUSE FOR MY NAME, and I will stablish the throne of his kingdom for ever. 14 I will be his father, and he shall be my son. If he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men: 15 But my mercy shall not depart away from him, as I took [it] from Saul, whom I put away before thee. 16 And thine house and thy kingdom shall be established for ever before thee: thy throne shall be established for ever."'"

17 According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so did Nathan speak unto David.

One can learn alot if one is willing to learn from sources that one may think he can't learn anything from. I got this from Judaism 101 (www.jewfaq.org):

Asham (ah-SHAHM)

A guilt offering. A type of sacrifice used to atone for sins of stealing things from the altar, for when you are not sure whether you have committed a sin or what sin you have committed, or for breach of trust.

Burnt Offering

A type of sacrifice that represented complete submission to G-d's will. It was completely consumed by fire on the altar. In Hebrew, it was called an olah.

Chatat (khah-TAHT)

A sin offering. A type of sacrifice used to atone for and expiate unintentional sins.

Guilt Offering

A type of sacrifice used to atone for sins of stealing things from the altar, for when you are not sure whether you have committed a sin or what sin you have committed, or for breach of trust.

Meal Offerings

An offering of meal or grain.

Nesekh

An offering of undiluted wine.

Offerings

Jewish practices of sacrifices and offerings were extensive in ancient times, but have not been practiced since our Temple was destroyed, because we are not permitted to bring offerings anywhere else.

Olah (oh-LAH)

Derived from a root meaning ascension. A burnt offering, a type of sacrifice that represented complete submission to G-d's will. It was completely consumed by fire on the altar.

Parah Adumah (Pahr-AH ah-doo-MAH)

Lit. red heifer. An animal used as an offering in an unusual and mysterious ritual to purify from the defilement of contact with the dead.

Peace Offering

A type of sacrifice expressing thanks or gratitude.

Red Heifer (Red Cow)

An animal used as an offering in an unusual and mysterious ritual to purify from the defilement of contact with the dead.

Sacrifice

Jewish practices of sacrifices and offerings were extensive in ancient times, but have not been practiced since our Temple was destroyed, because we are not permitted to bring offerings anywhere else.

Sh'lamim (shlah-MEEM)

Lit. peace [offering]. A type of sacrifice expressing thanks or gratitude.

Sin Offering

A type of sacrifice used to atone for and expiate unintentional sins.

Zebach Sh'lamim (zeh-BAKH shlah-MEEM)

Lit. peace offering. A type of sacrifice expressing thanks or gratitude.

This was a search; so, there are some duplicates. The point is that some of these sacrifices were purely to express thanks to God, such as the peace offering. Others would expiate unintentional sins (the sin offering). And still others were simply to provide food for the Levites, such as the meal offering.

Notice that there is NO sacrifice for a transgression. Transgressions were only handled one way: The person transgressing was taken outside of the camp and STONED TO DEATH! A transgression is a WILLFUL disobedience to God's Law. An iniquity is an injustice to others. We sometimes use the word inequity, but really it's about the lack of justice, not the lack of equity. Equity is about being "fair" to others, rather than being "JUST" to others.

If for no other reason than to provide food for the priests and Levites, there shall still be sacrifices (or butchering) going on within the new Temple.

But, the bottom line is this: NO PROPHECY GOD HAS MADE ABOUT THE FUTURE WILL GO UNFULFILLED! Yeeshuwa` SHALL build a Temple, as predicted in the Davidic Covenant, and people SHALL come to His birthday party every year! those who love Him will come gladly and willingly; those who are the "tares among the wheat" will come by force! "Come, or no rain" or "Come, or plague!"

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
