19 And thou shalt give to the priests the Levites that be of the seed of Zadok, which approach unto me, to minister unto me, saith the Lord God, a young bullock for a sin offering.

20 And thou shalt take of the blood thereof, and put it on the four horns of it, and on the four corners of the settle, and upon the border round about: thus shalt thou cleanse and purge it.

That's how I have to view the relevant passage in Ezekiel. 

At that time the Temple was destroyed. And the Jews were still in Babylon. 

And whatever Ezekiel told them that they will again have a Temple in Jerusalem it came to pass. 

Because it was the will of the Lord to do that and He let them know before it happens. As usual. When the Lord wanted to do something He always will tell in advance. 

The Lord preserve the Holy vessels used in the Temple. They were taken to Babylon and kept till the Persians took over the Kingdom and Darious returned them. This is how you know if it is the will of God to build another Temple because those vessels can't be duplicated. We need to have the testimony of the mana in the golden jar still fresh as it was the first they collected it. And the original Tablets and the budding Aaron's staff. 

Jeremiah was telling that their captivity is at hand and that they will come back and he took the deeds of their properties and he buried them. 

The Lord always He published or in Law He gives notice so the opposition from other powers knows what He was planning to do. And they had the chance to do something to derailed his plans. But they never succeeded. 

The Gods of the other people they never succeeded this is why He was called God the Highest. 

In Egypt we witnessed the battle between Him and the mighty Gods of Egypt.

The Day is coming, doom is here – it bursts upon them, the Lord’s retribution and punishment for their many sins.  The time has come! The Day has arrived! There will be no World War 3. Ezekiel 7:14....All are ready, but no one goes to war, because their turmoil brings forth the wrath of God upon all of them. Psalms 83

Verse 28 is very significant. It says how those who survive the Day of Reckoning and who emigrate from ‘foreign lands’, will then live in the Holy Land.  His Christian people: ‘like lost sheep’, will travel to and gather in their inheritance, all the area given to Abraham. Galatians 3:26-29 They will praise the Lord for His deliverance and how he has cleared the Land of enemies. Psalms 58:10-11
