satan and Yeshua referred to as morning star

In Isaiah 14:12 Isaiah states "How you have fallen from heaven, O morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations!" Then if you turn to Revelation 22:16 Yeshua says "I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star." Self explanitory question, why does Jesus refer to himself Morning Star, and Isaiah call satan morning star. I am sure that the original words are different, I am in no way saying anything bad about Yeshua, or Isaiah, I just dont understand. Thanks,

According to the NIV Study Bible, "Morning Star, Son of the Dawn" in Isaiah 14:12 could be names for the kings of Assyria and Babylon, meaning that they will fade like the morning star fades when the sun rises.

The "Morning Star" reference in Rev 22:16 means "Light of Salvation."

It is not mistake by the NIV, nor the NASB, nor any of the other 100+ modern english bibles. It was done with the full intention of misleading both christians and worldly people away from the Truth that can make them free. It is part of the occult/new age infiltration of the church. Satan know he cannot destroy the church so the next best thing is to join the church.

The notes in my NIV Study Bible for Isaiah 14:12 say that applying Chapter 14 to Satan is speculation only. vv12-14 could apply to Satan because of the enormous power described, bu none of the other verses in the chapter apply to him.

The prophecy in Chapter 14 probably applies to the king of Babylon. "Lucifer" is a title that was applied to the king of Babylon.

If that is so [the passage is only about the king of Babylon], then who would you say that Satan is, and where did he come from?

Think about it, put yourself in the devil's shoes. How would you go about trying to get people to turn away from the Lord Jesus Christ and worship you? Just come up with a counterfeit bible that points to you and not Jesus.

But these "counterfeit" versions don't point towards Satan. They point to Christ just as much as your precious KJV.

All that I will add to this is that I have read that for myself in the NIV and all that I can say is that it doesn't surpirse me in the least because after all it is published by Zondervan, who is owned by Harper Collins, who also distribute the Satanic Bible.

All that I will add to this is that I have read that for myself in the NIV and all that I can say is that it doesn't surpirse me in the least because after all it is published by Zondervan, who is owned by Harper Collins, who also distribute the Satanic Bible.
