New- The davinci code film

Hi all

I dont know if you have heard about this new film from Dan Brown's book the da vinci code?

It is due for release over here in the late spring and I wondered if there is anything you are doing in the US to come against it?

It is fiction but a lot of people will think it is fact as it has been made in real churches over here (dont get me started on what I think of the money these clergy have got for lending out their building to this blasphemous rubbish!)

Basically the plot says that Jesus was married to mary and they had children and the church has kept it a secret and murgers people who try and get to "the truth". It is also asserted that the wedding at Canaan was actually Jesus'

Lets get praying for protection for the minds of the unsuspecting public who are about to be mislead.

It is claimed it will be the big blockbuster for 2006.

Perhaps we could find out which company is making the film and barrage them with complaints?

I am somewhat familiar with Mr Brown and his work. Nobody was more surprised than he when so many people actually believed his fiction to be reality. He is a clever writer, and mixes truth with fiction so skillfully, that the pseudo-intellectuals actually believe it! There is truth in the saying the "a little knowledge is a dangerous thing."

The plot of his book is nothing new, and has been covered in a couple of motion pictures, most recently by something called "Revelation."

No doubt it will be a block buster hit, given the public's curiosity with the supernatural and conspiracu theories.

Our faith is under major attack. Satan isn't going to sit still and watch himself go down in defeat. We know how it all ends, since we've read the Book, but the enemy of our souls is taking as many people down as he possible can. He'll continue to use deception, particularly in Hollywood, as a means to destroy the faith of many.

The funny thing is that even non-Christians who have researched the claims have found them to be false.

Personally I think everyone should go watch it so we can tell folks from the heart that it is fiction and when they ask if you have seen it you can say "Yes I have." and whether or not you liked it. If the movie is half as exciting as the book it should be a good "FICTION" movie.

I respectfully disagree. There are people who would have considered the Exorcist or Rosemay's baby good fiction, bu they portrayed God as being powerless against satan and a lot of people bought into that as well. You can't condone a lie simply because it is just a movie.

Yes, I had read that it was being filmed some time ago and they used donations giving them to a chapel to be restored. But, a lie is a lie no matter where they tell it from, it is still a lie.

Infact, it is a terrible lie, too!!! I can't imagine letting a chapel out for that use myself! Must be more a museum?? I wonder! It is blasphemy!

I am not sure what people here are doing about it.

People need toget solid in the truth of JESUS and the Bible and not sway with every new thing. Those who are totally ignorant of the Bible will need to realise just that and maybe people can talk to them about the real Bible Truth.

I don't want anything to do with this movie and think it is blasphemous hype to even make such a thing.

I agree! The book is fiction and the movie is fiction. It is a made up story.

I agree! The book is fiction and the movie is fiction. It is a made up story.
