Hani, thank you for sitting in with us. One vital concern I have with Muhammad & his personally stated "revelations" is that he would have us believe that the angel Gabriel said one thing to the Bethlehem shepherds concerning the Lord Jesus Christ, the world's only Savior - but abruptly changed his mind and said quite an entirely contradictory thing in the 7th-century to what I believe was your religion's founder, Muhammad of Yathrib. How can the Lord Jesus Christ be the world's Savior while at the same time (beginning in the 7th-century) being but one of a string of prophets with the Arabian Peninsula's polygamist warlord Muhammad as the final and most important one? Even Abu Bahkr, Muhammad's successor, said that Muhammad could save no one. Don't we need Someone to forgive us, to save us, and to be able to give us everlasting life as shown in St. John, Chapter Three, Verse sixteen?

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son - ie. as in the original, the UNIQUE ONE - that whosoever (including everyone in the Arabian Peninsula too) believes in Him should not perish, but have (present tense) everlasting life." Isn't THAT XLNT news for a weary, confused society?

Hani, I have perused your Qur'an. In the interests of conviviality, please give earnest consideration to reading the Gospel of St. John. It will richly bless your heart.

Cordially, Arthur Durnan.

Salaam alekim Hani

and we believe jesus will return soon ... our prophet (pbuh) even told us when exactly

What does your prophet say about the return of Jesus?

This is what the Bible says -

Revelation 19

11 Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war.

12 His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself.

13 He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.

14 And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses.

15 Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

16 And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.

read what GOd says about jesus and mary in holy Quran :

[003:059] The similitude of Jesus before God is as that of Adam; He created him from dust, then said to him: "Be". And he was.

You see, this is the issue of contention between our holy books.

Recall above in Revelation 19:13 where it says: "His name is called The Word of God"?

Well, there is another place in the Bible where Jesus is called the Word of God, and this is what it has to say:

John 1

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2 He was in the beginning with God.

3 All things came into being through Him, and without Him not even one thing came into being that has come into being.

4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.

5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overtake it. . . .

9 He was the true Light; He enlightens every man coming into the world.

10 He was in the world, and the world came into being through Him, and the world did not know Him.

11 He came to His own, and His own received Him not.

12 But as many as received Him, He gave to them authority to become the children of God, to those who believe on His name,

13 who were born, not of bloods, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but were born of God.

14 And the Word became flesh, and tabernacled among us. And we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and of truth.

So, while your holy book makes claim that Jesus was just a man - even though an extraordinary prophet - our holy book makes claim that Jesus was "the Son of God" and "One with the Father".

Jesus was righteous because He Himself is righteous, not because special grace was given upon Mary who bore Him. The opposite is true - Mary was given grace for she would be the one to carry the Holy One within her.

Luke 1

26 Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, 27 to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin's name was Mary.

28 And having come in, the angel said to her, "Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!"

29 But when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and considered what manner of greeting this was.

30 Then the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God.

31 And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus.

32 He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David.

33 And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end."

34 Then Mary said to the angel, "How can this be, since I do not know a man?"

35 And the angel answered and said to her, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.

We're sorta' bangin' this guy from all sides, fellas! Hani may find it more profitable to ask one question at a time and then listen to a variety of Christian responses until we have reached clarity on one issue at a time.

What do you think?

One question I have, is it true that Islamic Clerics teach that Islam has existed prior to Christianity, and that beneath the temple mount in Israel, there is to temple, only older Islamic places of worship?

I agree we might by kinda flooding him with too much info. :noidea:

Maybe we could just focus on one question ..... like how Jesus can forgive sin if He isnt God. I think Jade made a very valid point.

Hani, I hope we can be a blessing to you and that God will show you His truth.

I have had the privilege on one of our Israel ministries to be accorded the privilege - and privilege it was - The Temple Mount subterranean passageways feature ancient Jewish synagogues, meeting rooms, ancient stables, storage halls, various empty caverns, passageways, etc, - but no essential "Muslim" mosques or Islamic whatever, all dating back to the time of King David of Israel who long ago pronounced Jerusalem as ISRAEL'S eternal capital. Islam occupies the Temple Mount today only because of Israeli General Moishe Dayan's extreme generosity to the dismay, I must say, of many Orthodox Jews.

GOD BLESS ISRAEL TOO!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
