Indeed why would God create man with a spirit, a soul, and a body then leave "one" or the other out in "salvation"? Good point! Blessings unto you in Christ.

Thanks, yes, why would a loving God not care about our body as much as the rest of us?

The body was not left out of salvation. That is why we will one day recieve a glorified body. We have never been promised that God will heal every person every time. No such promises exist in Scripture. That does not mean that God does not heal. We simply do not have a promise that every Christian is promised absolute perfect health.

It speaks of Spiritual healing. Same in 1 Peter.

We will get our perfectly healthy bodies later.

Rania, God wants our bodies healthy now, why would Jesus do what He did for three years, as depicted in the Gospels, healing , healing, healing.

Do you think He did it to be a temporary side show attraction, no, He did it to demonstrate to mankind the will of God.

Jesus said I do the things I see my Father doing.

Please go to Matthew and begin reading in chapter 8, right after Jesus preached the sermon on the mount, He came down off of the mountain, and began healing, He healed the leper, then He healed the centurion's servant, then He came to Peter's home, and healed his mother-in-law, then Matthew said these words in 8:16, and 17

"And when evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon possesed, and He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were ill in order that what was spoken through Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, saying 'HE, HIMSELF TOOK OUR INFIRMITIES, AND CARRIED AWAY OUR DISEASES'.

To be quite frank, I'm a dispensationalist so maybe now you can understand my POV.

God still heals today when He chooses to do so, but I also know that God can work His perfect will through illness, too. I understand the sovereignty of God and don't question it.

The miracles you read of in scripture were signs to confirm the person delivering the message. When the Canon was complete, the miracles (sign gifts) were no longer necessary.

Like I said in the beginning, I still believe that miracles happen, I just don't believe that they are done via man or woman.

I also believe that God still heals and is moved by the prayers of His children. He desires that but doesn't need it.

I know this will rub many the wrong way and I'm okay with that. I'm also okay with the fact that many still believe in the sign gifts. One day we will know.

Rania

Franky, why must you post repeatedly over the same issue? Why dont' you just stick with at least ONE of your "healing" topics and follow it all the way through? Why do you just abandon one and start another? For instance, here are some of your previous topics:

Here's one

Here's another

And yet another

What was wrong with just continuing the discussion in one of those? :emot-hug:

Franky, for about the 10th time in the 10th different thread you've started on the same subject, we've told you that "respector of person's" deals with salvation and how race, gender, or socio-economic status does not play a factor in it.

As we found out earlier, you wear glasses. This shows physical weakness. Guess you aren't saved. So, please stop posting in the area for saved people.

It has nothing to do with being a "respector of persons." Maybe if you knew how to rightly divide the Word of Truth...

Why does the subject of Jesus' healing make some Christians angry ?

One of you even called it a stupid subject.

Yes, The context of Acts 10.34 is speaking of God not being partial to any one race or nation, but all through His word He says all men are included in all the blessings He has bestowed through His Son Jesus, so God is no respecter of persons, in regard to who will receive His Salvation. verses 34-38

I had no idea this was a private area, all though some agreed with my view of what Matthew said about Isaiah's prophesy.

AK, Tess, Shiloh, sorry to offend

WE all need to know God is the Healer. I've seen his healing alott and Theres no way you can deny it. His healing can be manifested different ways: right then, after medication, after surgery, after death. I've seen saints suffer too, but you know- they still can bear fruit in suffering that leads others to Christ. Signs and wonders followed Jesus, and I have witnesses healings that lead others to deeper walks of faith. We can have a book knowledge of the Lord but to experience him and walk with him is another thing. You have to Know him!!

Thanks Franky :emot-hug:

It is clear from Scripture that God does, in fact, value the soul more than the body:

Luke 12

4 I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body but after that can do no more.

5 I shall show you whom to fear. Be afraid of the one who after killing has the power to cast into Gehenna; yes, I tell you, be afraid of that one.

Matthew 10

28 And do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; rather, be afraid of the one who can destroy both soul and body in Gehenna.

And suffering is not foreign to the saints:

2 Corinthians

Chapter 12

1 I must boast; not that it is profitable, but I will go on to visions and revelations of the Lord.

2 I know someone in Christ who, fourteen years ago (whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows), was caught up to the third heaven.

3 And I know that this person (whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows)

4 was caught up into Paradise and heard ineffable things, which no one may utter.

5 About this person I will boast, but about myself I will not boast, except about my weaknesses.

6 Although if I should wish to boast, I would not be foolish, for I would be telling the truth. But I refrain, so that no one may think more of me than what he sees in me or hears from me

7 because of the abundance of the revelations. Therefore, that I might not become too elated, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, an angel of Satan, to beat me, to keep me from being too elated.

8 Three times I begged the Lord about this, that it might leave me,

9 but he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness." I will rather boast most gladly of my weaknesses, in order that the power of Christ may dwell with me.

10 Therefore, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and constraints, for the sake of Christ; for when I am weak, then I am strong.

Romans 8

16 The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,

17 and if children, then heirs, heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if only we suffer with him so that we may also be glorified with him.

18 I consider that the sufferings of this present time are as nothing compared with the glory to be revealed for us. 19 For creation awaits with eager expectation the revelation of the children of God;

20 for creation was made subject to futility, not of its own accord but because of the one who subjected it, in hope

21 that creation itself would be set free from slavery to corruption and share in the glorious freedom of the children of God.

22 We know that all creation is groaning in labor pains even until now;

23 and not only that, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, we also groan within ourselves as we wait for adoption, the redemption of our bodies.

Peace,

Fiosh

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
