Oh, I guess I should explain why I changed my username----again!

dimeministries is an acronym. It stands for:

Discipleship

Intercession

Missions

Evangelism

Ministries

I just joined a Christian church and one of my good friends has a missions website and I thought I would start a discipleship website.

I have yet to start it, though!

But I do have an email address!

jake@dimeministries.org

the website will be up some time later, though.

Mine's a combination of the day I got baptized, what was going through my head that I was boldly proclaiming Christ as my Lord in front of everyone and I thought how He would also proclaim me as His servant in front of the Father.

Second reason is the so called "Christian" site I came from before limited the Word of God, screened everything we said if any of it was negative such as sin, rebuke, hell, they would shut you up by suspending you, banning you, or deleting the thread. They did not believe in preaching the full counsel of God lest anyone be offended.

It is for my LACK OF, and DAILY DEPENDENCE on "WISDOM" from above vice the world's "wisdom". Prior to CHRIST taking over my life, I had a "fool's version" of worldly wisdom. I considered myself so "deep", slick and wise in knowledge (1 Corinthians 3:18-20).

When I gave my life to CHRIST, less than 2 yrs later I read what King Solomon asked our FATHER for, MORE than anything else, and what a few others in Scripture already knew (1 KINGS 3:5-14.......Proverbs 1:1-7; 2:1-15; 28:5.......James 1:5......Psalm 32:8; 51:6....Ecclesiastes 2:26). My eyes were opened and it stuck with me just how much I DIDN'T KNOW! Humility in the sight of GOD (not men) became the key for me (Psalm 10:17.....James 4:6.......Proverbs 15:33). From that point on, I wanted to always be used by HIM in a GODly way.

As UNDESERVING as I am (Ephesians 2:8-9), HE blesses me by using and teaching me WISDOM from on high in order to be a blessing to family, friends, and others daily. All the honor and glory is HIS! :x:

My name is normally hippolaughamus :D

I am a large girl. I think the hippo is an intriging creature. I, like them, have a large mouth :oww: :D :D and when I do expressive worship, people say I am graceful. Have you ever seen a hippo walk or swim under water???It is really cool, and they are graceful. So even though I am huge, I can be graceful at times (which only comes from God, not by my means)

My hope is in HIM, and Him alone. God is my refuge, my Abba, my everything. He totally rocks. Aside from Him I am nothing, a worthless sinner. With Him, I am a Child of the King, still a worthless sinner :D but now with the hope that one say I shall meet my God face to face, sit in His lap, give Him a big hug, and tell Him how much I love Him. With he hope that I can reach others for Him, with the Hope that Christ's light can and will shine through me. With the hope that Christ through me,can change the hearts of those around me. I can do nothing, but Christ can. So I hope, that God will choose me to be His vessel. A light house. Anything where I can be used by HIM, for the raising of HIS kingdom, for HIS glory, all for the precious and almighty HE.

My Mom gave me this name! :D

I usually like just plain saying who I am out front. Lay it out on the table, I reckon.

Interesting topic, though.

Mine is my intials.

IslandRose, I have been to Grand Cayman once (on a trip with hubby for our 5 wedding anniversary, in fact that's where we are in the picture of us in our signature) It was beautiful! We saw the conch shell house and turtle farm. It was blazing hot, though! :D

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
