2Pe 2:1 But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who secretly will bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing on themselves swift destruction.

2Pe 2:2 And many will follow their pernicious ways, and because of them the way of truth will be evil spoken of.

2Pe 2:3 And through covetousness they will use you for gain with well-turned words; for whom judgment from of old does not linger, and their destruction does not sleep.

2Ti 4:3 For a time will be when they will not endure sound doctrine, but they will heap up teachers to themselves according to their own lusts, tickling the ear.

2Ti 4:4 And they will turn away their ears from the truth and will be turned to myths.

2Jo 1:7 For many deceivers have entered into the world, who do not confess Jesus Christ coming in the flesh. This is the deceiver and the anti-christ.

2Jo 1:8 Look to yourselves, so that we may not lose those things which we worked out, but that we may receive a full reward.

2Jo 1:9 Everyone transgressing and not abiding in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ, he has both the Father and the Son.

2Jo 1:10 If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house, nor speak a greeting to him.

2Jo 1:11 For he who speaks a greeting to him is partaker of his evil deeds.

They sincerely believe that what they are doing is God's will---and because of that, NONE OF US HAS THE RIGHT TO JUDGE THEM. Let God do the judging. Our job is to do the loving. To outright say that Paul Crouch and TBN is of the devil is itself of the devil.

Please remember..."judge not lest ye be judged".

Rev 2:1"To the angel of the church in Ephesus write:

These are the words of him who holds the seven stars in his right hand and walks among the seven golden lampstands: 2I know your deeds, your hard work and your perseverance. I know that you cannot tolerate wicked men, that you have tested those who claim to be apostles but are not, and have found them false.

We must understand that many cults are sincere. The people who drank the poison under Jim Jones of "The People's Temple" were very sincere.

If we see our fellow brothers and sisters drinking the poison of false doctrine and say nothing, we have cheated them of the truth which actually shows that our love for them is not real.

We must judge what comes from the mouth and into ourselves.........without judging the soul.

Saul (Paul)killed christians and I bet many were saying things like........that guy is defintly hellbound. How ironic he gets saved and writes most of the New Test. My point is I never judge the persons heart only their words.

In his love,

Brian

Word of faith...I could make a joking side commentary now, but I will refrain... :whistling:

Not just bad, Heretical. Here is a discussion we had on it a while ago, which has references and such...so we don't have to go over it again. I don't want any of my bouncy sisters in Christ (or bretheren) to think I'm pickin on them cause I'm not, but this particular movement of the church is VERY dangerous.

Ok so I was watching Paula White preaching on TBN and she is such a great speaker and I was totally into it and I really felt like she was speaking to me with the things she was saying and it was a really great sermon.

But then the thing is it was also a pledge drive and she was preaching on Psalm 66:12 and so she kept telling people that they needed to get up and go to the phones and plant a seed of $66.12 for the next year to show they have the faith in God and theyre bringing something to the table for him to multiply.

It really stinks cause the sermon was so awesome it's like she was speaking to me and saying everything I needed to hear but then another part of me wants to totally disregard everything she said because the $66.12 stuff sounded so bogus.

So I am really annoyed and frustrated now.

Don't be surprised. TBN has many charismatic and eloquent speakers to stir up its audience to give their very last dime. It's dispicable, quite frankly.

Never heard of her before but it really turns me off when they ask for $$$ I give where I feel it's needed most. It may even be a homeless person when they aren't looking. You will know discernment by the Holy Spirit which dwells within you. You will know when to give and when not too. How much of that money goes to them personally or to help the helpless? One reason I don't like it. I don't really know where it's going. Would rather go down to Red Cross and give or feed the homeless. It's really sad that some of these people give so blindly.

Well the reason it seemed like she was speaking to you was because she is well versed in sales techniques. Like the other TBN pimps she is a snake oil salesman. She is expert in manipulating and deceiving in order to get the gullible to send their money in. You may as well give money to the devil himself as send it to TBN. Why is it that just because some use clever marketing techniques disguised as Christianity people are naive and eager to throw money at them? Any money donated to TBN will ultimately be used to finance and air more phony fund raising that put the best grifting pyramid schemes to shame.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
