Despite having been responded to mostly by a flurry of rants rather than a rebuttal of rational thought, I made further attempt to track down the source of this poem. The best I could find was that the author, Steve Turner, is an English rock biographer and journalist. When I originally posted this, at that point I was in a rush and could only find a source that titled this "Atheist's Creed," and so I naturally took for granted that it was the correct title. However, upon futher search (it's amazing how typing in the correct key words can altar one's search finds!), I saw that the correct title should simply be "Creed," and that it should be labeled as a satire on modern thought, or Modernism, not Atheism. So, I appologize to you who consider yourselves atheists for misappropriating this poem to you.

This is something I recently heard over the radio and managed to find a copy of.

We believe in Marx, Freud and Darwin

We believe everything is OK

as long as you don't hurt anyone

to the best of your definition of hurt,

and to the best of your knowledge.

We believe in sex before, during, and

after marriage.

We believe in the therapy of sin.

We believe that adultery is fun.

We believe that sodomy

WOW that was pretty crazy, and actualy pretty true from what I've seen. There are so many debased, and I do feel this mindfraim is a moral decline in our society, Man is evil, his ways are evil. God is good, there is no other good.

I've seen Christianity get satyred all over the place in the Outer Court section by non-Christians already.

I thought maybe it's your all's turn to defend your stand on these things fro a change.

If we have to keep defending the: "If God is omnipotent, can He make a rock so heavy He can't lift?" argument,

why can't you defend: "We believe that there is no absolute truth excepting the truth that there is no absolute truth"?

Too bad this isn't true in the world, especially the US, a supposedly Christian nation.

This creed is absolutely ridiculous. Generlizations like these, is why religion will always be violent. Step outside of your box and have some respect.
