My firend, part of my screen name is also part of my real name. There are some on these boards who know my real name and there are even some on these boards who know my age. What I write on these boards is what I believe, and what I share with all, probably like others who are here my screen name is the same for me as if I were using my real name. I am not ashamed of anything I write here and therefore do not use my screen name to hide behind it.There are times when I feel the person with whom I am sharing may feel more comfortable if they talk to me at my e-mail address. Then I will give them it, so we don't tie these boards up with endless debates. In that case we share our beliefs with out having to answer everyone who has a comment. It is better for me that way.I believe you are putting to much on our real names. Don't follow me, follow Jesus. Besides God will give each of us a new name that only He knows when we get to heaven anyway. Love in Christ littlejoe

So, your real name is Little?:21::21:

My friend,it is actually chickenlittle. Lovein Christ littlejoe

So, ya really wanna know my name?

Okay, okay, my name is Piggly Wiggly. Well, that's what my aunt called me when I was a baby. Now my name is Hey You! Go figure! It doesn't really matter what my real name is b/c I answer to lotsa different things. People have such a hard time remembering my name, so I just go w/ it.

:D

Sometimes my name is Current Resident!

My nephew's name, when he was a baby, was Ham Hocks! We do not call him that anymore, he's a body builder, and a bouncer [oops I mean Disorderly Person Ejector] at Harry Buffalo.

My mother could never get our names straight, so we were always judykarenlisa [add whatever dog we had at the time]. We learned to come when she got to "Whatever your name is!"

Look, God knows who I really am and I don't think he needs my real name said. Just ask him to pray for the person behind the name, not the name itself.

It is very unwise to ever use your real name anywhere on the internet. Worthy is not a closed community, any freak in the world can look at this and use it to defraud, threaten or find ways to cause us harm.

Yeah, the Lord knows, but we here are people. When I sit and talk to someone I normally know their name.

If we keep discussing things without telling each other names we are really just throwing words into the empty space. Talking to ghosts. Having fun disguising ourselves when the kingdom of God is not about fun but about communion.

We are not children of the light if we remain hidden.

I have to agree with the above posters. Shouldn't be the "Intent" of your reason for being here, more than just being "inquisitive?" If your intentions are in the right place, does it really matter "who" you are , just that we are all "children" of God looking for answers. Isn't the whole reasoning for us being here for "moral" support. It's not exactly like we will have the opportunity to "sit" and visit with each other face to face. But the Internet is a good place to start to get to know someone on a more personal level if you choose. I have a really good friend who met his "not wife" through the Internet and they could not have picked a better choice between the two of them. But I'll say this, "if there is anyone out there that feels they can't solve their promise on this level and feels the need to have someone there beside them, I would hope a true Christian will rise to the occassion. Fact is, whether you know someone's name or information or not, you really don't know whom you can fully trust here on earth. NOW HEAVEN'S A DIFFERENT STORY!

Blessings

Thanks for the warning. I'm a young woman. In the light of what you said, I'm happy you never went to see my profile. God knows what you could do to me...

I cannot compare this time to Jesus' time, but I can compare Christ's followers to him.

And that means? You can compare what you think you know about someone to Christ. That's it. You can only make educated guesses based on their behavior. It's all subjective. Only God truly knows a persons heart. I can sit here and say that I love the Lord with all my heart, and I do, but you have no way of knowing that just looking at my words on a computer screen. I could be an axe murderer, you have no way of knowing that. I could say I hate everyone with a passion and want nothing to do with mankind what-so-ever, on here, and in real life be working in a soup kitchen all day, or preaching the gospel to anyone who will listen from a street corner. I've signed every post I've made in this thread. My name is Eddie. I have not seen you sign your name. I haven't viewed your profile, because honestly, I don't go and look at peoples profiles unless I am developing a friendship with them, or their posts are making me scratch my head.

Each one of us have a calling and a ministry. It doesn't matter if we call ourselves Iris or BoBo. Names matter little if we are not walking the path Jesus has for us. It is our hearts that matter, and you can only make guesses about a person when all you can do is read their words on a monitor.

I think I understand the spirit and meaning of your OP, but realistically, it is not real wise for young women and teenagers to splash everything there is to know about themselves all over a profile. In the case of the WWW, better safe than sorry really are words to live by.

Eddie. . .

While I agree with what you say about using our names could be risky, at the same time how do you really know that my real name would be what I would tell you anyway. What I'm hearing from Mercy is that it might give her another sign of "trust" from the person she is trying to put her confidence in , with the information. Also, you could be writing from prison as we speak and Mercy and you might connect for a time. If Mercy were contemplating suicide for instance, and you were able to talk her out of it, because of your experiences and honesty, what would it matter that you had committed a crime earlier in your life. It is more important for your soul and hers that you led her to Christ gates. This is a good place to get off to a good start to get to know someone that you feel you may want to know more personally later. It's not to say you might consider breaking it off once you get more personal and gather more information on the person at any time in the relationship. People take varied times in their lives to get to know someone, and later marry only to find out even 50 years later that people are not what they had originally thought, or we all change and this is what causes many marriages to go bad; that and differences in what we want out of life as we change. Or life changes people, and money also change some people. Even God changes people. People's thoughts are subjective, but people's beings are objective!

Blessings

I've been on this forum for almost a month and I may have missed an explanation. But why don't you guys want to fill in your name and location and age in your profiles?

The Internet is the perfect place to bring harm and get away with it or to remain anonimous and act like you're asking for help. But if we don't say our names and make unspoken prayer requests or tell just half of our problem, how do we expect to be helped?

It saves the board and me a lot of trouble to keep my real name and location hidden.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
