mjohn and His son:

would you prove your faith by sending me a check for a thousand dollars or your very best possible love gift over that? I can accept credit cards if you don't have that much right now....

"Give, and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure--pressed down, shaken together, and running over. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return." :t2:

Are you serious, or being rediculous?

The only place I give is where I am told to by The Holy Spirit. What has your request got to do with the subject of Benny Hinn? God can use whoever He will to do what He wants.

When is the last time the Lord used any of us to reach millions?

Mt 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, lord, have we not in thy name prophesied? and in thy name cast out demons? and in thy name done many mighty things?

Mt 7:23 and then I will acknowledge to them, that -- I never knew you, depart from me ye who are working lawlessness. Young Version

Be careful my friend, you know that the religious leaders of that day accused Jesus of casting out demons in the name of satan. God will judge Hinn not us. I know people intimately who have been healed in his meetings. God is The Healer, and healing comes from faith in Jesus to heal. It has nothing to do with Benny, all he does is act as a channell.

Hinn is not even a channel-God does the healing and it boils down to the person's faith in God. And, BTW, I'm not judging good ole Benny; the Bible does that for me already:

De 18:21 If you say in your heart, How shall we know the word which Yahweh has not spoken?

De 18:22 when a prophet speaks in the name of Yahweh, if the thing doesn`t follow, nor happen, that is the thing which Yahweh has not spoken: the prophet has spoken it presumptuously, you shall not be afraid of him.

I don't think we need to go back over the list of his unfulfilled prophecies do we?

Are you then calling me a liar? I have been reading The Bible for 30 years, and I have never found Benny Hinns name in there.

I wasn't going to say anything but I can't, I just can't. That verse from the bible from the last post about many coming to the lord in the day and claiming they have done mighty works in his name and he Jesus tells them he never knew them. Can any of you tell me why this scripture is quoted everytime someone wants to disprove someones good works. They use it as a hammer to attack Gods people. I've heard it quoted so many times in spirit filled churches. Thats why I just have to say this. The MANY THAT COme TO HIM- JESUS) TELL JESUS THAT THEY HAVE DONE THESE THINGS> JESUS never says that they did anything in his name. HE RESPONDS WITH ( I NEVER KNEW YOU) four little words that seems to fly over peoples heads. were they really casting out demons, is there anyone out here in cyber space that thinks they could have done that, had that kind of power without Gods spirit being with them. I challage any one of you, TRY casting out a demon succesfully out of anyone and do it in your own strength. GUESS WHAT YOU CAN"T. GOD ARE SATAN WOULD HAVE TO GIVE YOU THE POWER> Jesus said that satan's kingdom couldn't stand if it were divided against its self. For give me from not looking up the verse. But read it. Why would satan reap destruction in someones life only to let Benny HINN come along and undo what he has done. HE SATAN would be working against his self. These people were confessing a lie to the lord, trying to get in the kingdom of God. But Jesus shuts them up with depart from me, THEN HE TELLS THEM THE TRUTH> He declares them to be workers of evil and tells them I NEVER KNEW YOU!!!!!!! ITS not good to use the word to cut Gods people down with. It is a sword to be used wisely. Rightly dividing the word of truth. That same scripture says to study to show yourselves a workman that needeth not to be ashamed. For Hinns good works I commend him. If its so that evil is found there then let God be the judge. One day soon he will weed out the tares. Untill then The bible says TOUCH NOT MY ANOINTED and do MY prophets no harm. Are any of you postive that he is not Gods anointed. :sweating:

Please, I ask you this in Christian love, please explain the non-occurence of Hinn's prophecies in any other light than what the Bible states. I'll use the Young translation as it adds a bit more weight to it IMHO:

De 18:22 that which the prophet speaketh in the name of Jehovah, and the thing is not, and cometh not -- it [is] the word which Jehovah hath not spoken; in presumption hath the prophet spoken it; -- thou art not afraid of him

Now, also according to the Bible, we are to do this:

1jo 4:1 Beloved, don`t believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

How are we supposed to do this if we run in fear of "touching God's anointed?" While we are on the subject, this is another example of something being taken completely out of context. Let's look at this in it's entirety:

Ps 105:1 Give thanks to Yahweh! Call on his name! Make his doings known among the peoples.

Ps 105:2 Sing to him, sing praises to him! Tell of all his marvelous works.

Ps 105:3 Glory in his holy name. Let the heart of them rejoice who seek Yahweh.

Ps 105:4 Seek Yahweh and his strength. Seek his face forever more.

Ps 105:5 Remember his marvelous works that he has done; His wonders, and the judgments of his mouth,

Ps 105:6 You seed of Abraham, his servant, You children of Jacob, his chosen ones.

Ps 105:7 He is Yahweh, our God. His judgments are in all the earth.

Ps 105:8 He has remembered his covenant forever, The word which he commanded to a thousand generations,

Ps 105:9 The covenant which he made with Abraham, His oath to Isaac,

Ps 105:10 And confirmed the same to Jacob for a statute; To Israel for an everlasting covenant,

Ps 105:11 Saying, "To you I will give the land of Canaan, The lot of your inheritance;"

Ps 105:12 When they were but a few men in number, Yes, very few, and sojourners in it.

Ps 105:13 They went about from nation to nation, From one kingdom to another people.

Ps 105:14 He allowed no one to do them wrong. Yes, he reproved kings for their sakes,

Ps 105:15 "Don`t touch my anointed ones. Do my prophets no harm."

I don't see anything here about blindly accepting someone's claims and staying in fear of questioning them-the WOF crowd uses this as a fear tactic to keep people in bondage. This is speaking of the Old Testament prophets-Moses, Ezekiel, etc. who were given a personal calling from God as a prophet. As a prophet, Benny Hinn has failed many times and he therefore is judged by the Bible as a false prophet.

I will say that God can use anyone, anytime, anywhere to reach someone that needs His touch, that is not the issue here. I think Benny Hinn uses alot of flash in his T.V. services, he likes to draw attention to himself. I don't believe being "slain in the spirit" is a Biblical practice all it does is frighten alot of non-Christians and Christians alike. Thats why alot of us get labled fanatical, it takes away from the real reason why we worship. To come before God in an attitude of reverence and praise.

In fact, not only is the term not in the Bible, the experience is not in the Bible either. I'm not saying that there are no examples in Scripture of human beings falling to their knees as they witness the incredible glory of God. This is what happened to the apostle John (Revelation 1). But this idea of being touched by a human being who is "anointed" by the Spirit and then being knocked cold is not a biblical phenomena.

How are we to explain such experiences? It may be a psychological or emotional phenomena. Someone may so strongly expect to be knocked cold by the Spirit thought to be present in the anointed preacher that when the preacher touches him or her, down he or she goes. (Sociologists have noted that this type of experience is actually common to many religions.) There's also the possibility that the powers of darkness may be involved in this experience (2 Thessalonians 2:9).

Many who believe in this phenomena like to cite certain passages in its support, such as Genesis 15:12-21, Numbers 24:4, 1 Samuel 19:20, and Matthew 17:6. But in every case they are reading their own meaning into the text instead of drawing the meaning out of the text. These passages in context offer virtually no support for the idea of being slain in the spirit.

I think we need to be very careful when getting into areas like this, it is very easy to confuse people in emotionalism instead of the Word of God. We are told not to be a stumbling block to our brothers and sisters.

In His Love

if someone claims to be a prophet...but their actions prove that they aren't....is it even possible for them to be "God's anointed"?

False, because He does not preach the full Good News, remember God said He would rain upon the just, and the unjust, that means His Spirit would bless those who are righteous, and not righteous.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
