Genesis Chapter six is a small introduction to that, but the details are outside the Canon in the books of Enoch and Jasher. Some don't accept anything these books offer, but they do make sense out of a lot of things. Though they are not God inspired, they are as reliable as the New York Times.

Just about every single civilization that has any written history tell of gods (with a little 'g' who came to planet earth and interfaced with mankind. Intermarrying with us and teaching the human race all kinds of things. The core of mythology is not just someone's imagination, it's the Sons of God who left their proper place and came here and married the daughters of Adam.

Greek and Roman Mythology, Sumerian, Egyptian, Mayan/Aztec and Indian Veda writings of the old times are simply stories from preflood from non Hebrew peoples. Lucifer's side of the story so to speak.

They also all tell of those gods returning at the end of time which we are most likely about to witness as they are permanently kicked out of the heavenly realm and forced to earth and this dimension. From reading the writings of the people who are setting up the structure for a global government and religion, they intend to convince the world that they are responsible for the human race being what it is. ET full disclosure is the way most refer to it.

Those who worship Lucifer do make a point that it was that entity that brought light into the world. Convinced Eve to eat of the fruit and give it to her husband and received the knowledge of good and evil. They consider that a wonderful thing, where we know that it was a curse of breaking the only law given to the pair.

Anyway, its interesting to watch the dark side's plans become reality knowing that Jesus is just over the horizon to put a stop to it. It gives me strength of heart to know He's watching over us during this time period as things appear to be getting darker and darker.

There have been all kinds of archaeological finds over the years that don't seem to fit into a simple people pre flood history.. From complex machines to batteries to pictures of such things as helicopters to places in the desert where the sand has been turned to glass in what appears to be the aftermath of atomic bomb blasts.

Christopher Dunn just published a book dealing with the tools that the ancients used to make such things as the pyramids. They have found the marks of an advanced blade that cut some of the huge rocks in the great pyramid that was 37 feet in diameter, and the density of the rock is such that today we would have to use diamond tipped blades to do the same. Multiple carvings that are a-semetric to within less than a thousanth of an inch, to rock coffins that are flat to less than that...... you don't do that with hand tools made from copper.

The New Testament tells us that the end times would be as it was in the days of Noah. There is question of whether it was just refering to just giving in marriage or much deeper in comparison. The book of Jasher tells of doing genetic crossing just as we are starting to do today. both animal/animal and animal/human....... just as we are starting to do today. The old Testament also tells us that there is nothing new under the sun. Tells us of fiery chariots that fly, people being able to see into other dimensions where multitudes of angels were.

It is my personal opinion that the pre flood times were not nearly as simple as most of us have been taught.

Sam - I do NOT believe that God has more than one Son (big S), nor that He came to earth and married and had children with humans. That has been refuted many many times here. Nor do I believe that angels intermarried and bred with humans either.

If you read Job, you will find examples of the old testament referring to angels as sons of God. We're not talking about someone/something on the level of Jesus. Jesus is the only begotten son of God.

The little g gods you mention were the angels taking the daughters of men, and creating the giants that necessitated theflood.

There are many many of others who simply do not agree with that line of thinking Candice. If the sons of God were decendance of Adam, how in the world did they manage to sing as God laid the cornerstone of earth as reflected in Job. Mankind had not even been created..

The posts you lead me to are using more metaphysics than anything else to try and put their point across. You can follow that logic if you wish, and I'm sure it will all come out in the end.

I see no reason why the people in Gen 6 have to be the same as the angels described in Job. They are entirely different.

Fez, these that you speak of are born again believers. We do become sons and daughters of God when we are saved just like the angels....... but not before.

Speaking of angels, I find it odd that when Jesus was speaking of angels and them marrying, he didn't say that angels don't marry, he said that Angels "in heaven" don't marry. If it hadn't happened here why would he use the term "in heaven" and not just simply say angels don't marry.

Why are humans other than Jesus and Adam not referred as sons of God until we are born again.

No fuss, just interesting to me. I have to disagree with the bold above however. Here is one scripture from the OT...

Psa 82:1 A Psalm of Asaph. God has taken his place in the divine council; in the midst of the gods he holds judgment:
