You know, that is so silly to require people to submit their children for testing. Next thing ya know, they'll be putting THE MARK on the poor things...what, is jolly old England afraid they are going to raise a generation of "retarded" children if they don't test them for things????

they are and have been monitered since birth for the lats at least 15 + years that I have been a mother...

they start at the hospital with the midwife...then every few weeks after realse from hospital by the health visitor...then regular check ups at the drs...this is not news.

Can it be possible that a stay at home parent will watch the children instead of taking them to day care. And if they do, who monitors the child then?

You are so right, My yougest grandson is only two yrs and my only great grandson is only four mths and I feel for them growing up in this world and I pray and pray for their little souls.

I think that (this is entirely my theory and do stand to be corrected) UK has fallen into the trap of having a PM and government system that is EU obsessive. Tony Blair is as obsequious as anything and doesn't care at all for public opinion at home, but cares only for what other world leaders think of him. He has surrounded himself with an army of unquestioningly loyal politicians and bureaucrats and people who like to call themselves "academics" who are totally incapable of thinking for themselves and will slavishly follow any edict that the EU puts on them.

After the first set of really weird legislation began to appear just before the last British election I expected NuLabour would cease to exist. But for some strange reason, they came right back into power, so people must really not know what goes on or just don't care. Tony seemed to take the fact that they were re-elected to be a mandate to do whatever he wanted to do.

However, it certainly is true that the British PM has absolute power over everything, as after the Charles Ist incident in 1649, the absolute power of the king was transferred to parliament. So now Tony enjoys the same power as the old kings of Europe did, and the people can do nothing about it. UK doesn't even have a constitution to violate.

We have much the same situation here in NZ as we have a PM who slavishly follows every demand that the UN makes (the only difference is that UK follows demands from the EU). And my theory is also that the people of both countries are going to pay a high price when all these things "come crashing down" in, probably, the next generation.

America has so far thumbed its nose at the UN - keep up the good work, I hope that continues.
