However, you keep saying what you believe is right for YOU and your household That's great!! The rub comes in when you want to apply your standards to everyone else. In the area of personal convictions, we must seek the L-rd and know what is acceptable for us. What is fine for me, may not be for someone else. There are lots of good shows on TV. Our family enjoys movies and some family shows. Maybe your family wouldn't like what we watch, but you know, if you ever came to our home, we would be considerate of your convictions and not put anything on that would offend you or make you stumble. That's where we each should be. Not telling others what's right for them. This is an area of subjectivity on what shows are OK or not.

Col 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. 3:14 And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed. 2th 3:15 Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother. Love does not shut the mouth when there is danger, but cries aloud and warns all who will listen. This is what got Jesus into so much trouble when He was here. So yes, I think it does matter. I know you posted this response long ago but it really hit home with me. All I can say is....Me Too! It isn't that I think that perhaps I shouldn't watch it but, as you said, I can't anymore. I just can't sit through some of the movies or television shows I used to watch. Then I would simply overlook the rawness of some of what I saw but now....I can't watch it. Yes, it does matter! .............Whirlwind
