What is your favorite part of church?

My favorite part is when God is doing something.................hmm, that would be during praise and worship.................a... the offering....................hmm.........the sermon...............oh and when we all pray for the lost the sick and those that are in bondage ..........................hmmm.........and when the people come up and give their lives to the Lord..........and when everyone is going out and talkin about how awesome God showed up!! The rest is just plain boring!!

Me too! My pastor preaches from the bible and has a great passion for his subject.

My daughter says she likes Christian Development time, she said her teacher is strict but he explains the point really well. AND when you get an answer right, he gives you candy!

But the Communion Service is something special...i can feel and sense the holiness and the serenity about the whole aspect of it!

What is your favorite part of church?

"Church", though today referring to building that people attend every Sunday, originally (and more importantly, scripturally) refers to the body of believers - it is the people of Christ, not the building people attend. In that sense then, the best part of "Church" is the fellowhsip and encouragement one gets from being with other Christians.

In the modern context of Church, I'd probably say that the answer is the same, though conventionally speaking when we meet to encourage and fellowhsip, we also engage in songs of praise, which I enjoy. The sermon is always enjoyable and informative, though not necessarily beneficial in all respects.

Overall, fellowship and encouragement from other believers are the main goals that i as a Christian strive for when dealing with members of my congregation.

Not to give a cliche answer, but I love it all too. We have a very small congregation, and they miss me if I am not there. We are really a close-knit church, and I need that. I grew up Catholic and my family was never that strong, so to be in a church family is important to me. My pastor is scripturally sound and accessible, and is very humble as a person. He has seven children and they are starting to marry off, three are married, two are at college, and two are still at home. I get along with the women there, and I can tell you that relating to women was a skill I lacked until now. Yeah, life can be hard living under a microscope, but I know there are others that have stumbled and gotten back up.
