Do you hate Adolf Hitler?

There is a chapter in Romans (I think it's 9, but don't hold me to that) that states nothing can separate us from God's love. I believe He loves everyone. Homosexuality is a sin they commit, but it does not define a person. We all sin... but with our help and understanding, I believe even homosexuals can realise their sin and come back to God. And I have heard of stories like this! :taped: God is great.

Cajunboy::::I have to slightly disagree with your statement Stitchy. One who commits themself into the sin of homosexuality has definately defined a big part of them It tells you that the person who knows he/she dwells in sin against God, also refuses to relinquish the sin. It may be a very powerful sin, but a sin nonetheless. And it is also not any more powerful than one who sins the sin of lust for the opposite sex as well. \\

Be Blessed

One of the things that I had a hard time grasping was the fact that God hates certain people:

Psalm 5:5, "The boastful shall not stand before Thine eyes; Thou dost hate all who do iniquity,"

Psalm 11:5, "The Lord tests the righteous and the wicked, and the one who loves violence His soul hates."

Lev. 20:23, "Moreover, you shall not follow the customs of the nation which I shall drive out before you, for they did all these things, and therefore I have abhorred them."

Prov. 6:16-19, "There are six things which the Lord hates, yes, seven which are an abomination to Him: 17 Haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, 18 A heart that devises wicked plans, feet that run rapidly to evil,

19 A false witness who utters lies, and one who spreads strife among brothers."

Hosea 9:15, "All their evil is at Gilgal; indeed, I came to hate them there! Because of the wickedness of their deeds I will drive them out of My house! I will love them no more; All their princes are rebels."

It's often said that God hates the sin but loves the sinner...but that is not what is implied in those scriptures. He is speaking of the people...

Thoughts?

Some of you people speak as if you know how a homosexual works. You think they don't know how to read and comprehend what the scriptures think about them. Don't you think they ever pour themselves every night hoping God would change them? How can you ever phantom the thinking of another? How can you ever grasp any idea what emotions a person exhibits other than your own?

Does God love homo's? God has no emotion. He sees only the action. Therefore, they really shouldn't be putting things in the wrong place.

...and by what authority to you state...God has no emotion?...a statement like that should have more than hot air...ever read:

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son that whomsoever believeth on Him shall not die but have everlasting life.

No what part of such a sacrifice like that indicated some unfeeling...unemotional God? How much feeling would you have to have for your child you knew had to be sacrificed for someone else you loved? You should back it up or withdraw that statement!

BTW: ...the WOG states very clearly that in the OT:

Lev 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood [shall be] upon them.

...and then went on to say in the NT:

Rom 1:26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

Rom 1:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

Rom 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in [their] knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

...and your problem with the WOG is? ...Go ahead...spit it out!

If God says it is an abomination...That seals it for me...and Dude...there is no amount of lipstick you can put on that pig...that's gonna make it look, smell or be anything except what it is ...a stinking PIG!

If you have a problem with the WOG... guess to whom your complaints should be addressed?<_<

To act upon lust is a choice as it is to act upon homosexual lust. We have the choice it is not forced upon us. God does love the homosexuals, but hates their choosing sin over His commands.

Exactly my point...The Homosexual agenda quite skillfully labeled their efforts as CIVIL RIGHTS...fraudulently equating a personal choice on how they CHOOSE to have sex and with whom...with people who had absolutely no CHOICE to which color they were born... and that was to follow the post by justaguy...to whom I posted that the AntiChrist will be a homosexual according tomDaniel:

Dan 11:36 And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done.

Dan 11:37 Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.

...and of course he went off at my understanding! <_<

In the book of Romans it states that God hated Esau.

I Hear God loves the sinner but not the sin...can I get a scripture for that please?

No, nothing can seperate us from the love of God...the scripture that says that is speaking of believers.

God didn't actually HATE esau. i would like to recommend this article for you to gain a clearer understanding.

as for scripture, john 3: 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

that's a mighty big sacrifice for God to make for individuals He might hate, don't ya think?

Yes, I typed this earlier but decided to post it as a topic so that I could get a legitimate response.

If God smote Sodom and Gomorrah (plz don't kill me on spelling, I do not have my bible on hand) for the homosexual acts committed there, does he love the gays? Or were they just so far gone that God knew that they would only pervert the world? What?

I haven't read the responses, and I'm sure there are some sage words...but I'll take a try at this...

God loves His creations, but He hates the sin that they do in His presence. He offers a chance for our salvation by repentance. Sodam and Gommorah failed to do that and were destroyed. God gave us a gift and that is Jesus that whoever believes in him will have everlasting life. But that requires our surrender to Him and to be born again. To be born again means we wish to live as God would have us live, for Him, not for ourselves. To pursue earthy pleasure means we are putting ourselves ahead of God, and I, for one, would not want to do that....

Romans 8:31-39

31What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

32He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

33Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.

34Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

35Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

36As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

37Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

38For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

39Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord

In the book of Romans it states that God hated Esau.

I Hear God loves the sinner but not the sin...can I get a scripture for that please?

No, nothing can seperate us from the love of God...the scripture that says that is speaking of believers.

Romans 5:8

8But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Anyone teaching that God hates sinners and not their sin will never be able to reach the sinner in Christ's name.

Homosexuality is NOT the unforgivable sin!

It is impossible for God to have the same kind of emotions as man/mere mortals do, because God is an immortal and everlasting entity. The scriptures that refer to God being a jealous God, does not imply that He possesses or is capable of possessing the same kind of jealousy as mortal man. The Bible says that it is impossible for God to sin. We are instructed by commandment not to covet or be jealous. To say that God is jealous the same way mere mortal man is, is implying that God is capable of sinning. There are some things in the Bible, such as this (God is a jealous God), that we will only fully understand once we get to heaven.

As far as homosexuality, in this day and age there is a tendency to downplay sin. Homosexuality is referred to as an "alternative life style." In God

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
