Christian commentary on the Quran

I've read the Quran, so I wouldn't waste money on a commentary. The "holy" book speaks for itself.

I've read parts of it also; it reads like the devil's primer. I wouldn't spend money on such a book.

What would you be looking to get out of it?

Well, although most of my work is now Pastoral rather than scholarly, I am a hopeless academic! I have read Glorious Khoran, but would be very interested in reading a convert's commentaries probably for sheerly academic reasons......

Of course were I still in the position of dealing with many Moslems, I would want it for purposes of Evangelism, and Pastoral care.

PS: I would MOST STRONGLY encourage someone to such a work. I will pray for their Divine protection each day.

I clicked "yes" for purely resource applications. I studied the muslim religion for two years and there are already commentaries on the Quran. I guess my bigggest question would be "how is this one different?" I used Wherry's commentaries on the Quran.

You needn't study the Quran to be able to witness to muslims.
