We were in the theater yesterday and a trailer came on for the Simpson's Movie.

At one point, the Simpson's are trying to solve a big distressing problem (apparently they were under an attack of some sort) and they flash in a scene where Homer is reading a Holy Bible and declaring that "THERE ARE NO ANSWERS IN THIS BOOK".

Why did they feel they needed to go there?

My kids will NOT be seeing this movie.

i hate the simpsons, but i'm sure when the movie comes out, i'll buy it for my husband. he loves them.

and i'm sure on his next day off we'll be driving across town to the new kwik-E-mart so we can buy some memorabilia... henderson (the town next to vegas) is now home to one of 12 kwik-E-marts across the country, selling krusteos cereal, squishy slurpees, etc. it has become a major tourist attraction.

Well, unless your kids are adults, I wouldn't let them watch the Simpsons period. We saw the trailer...I wasn't impressed.

The Simpsons have been on television many years now.

I never understood nor do I still, how anyone could ever watch that program.

When the program began years ago, there was "talk" of this and that, so I did watch three different programs. It is hard to tell that a program is really bad, or good, unless you watch it personally.

I did, and there was no need to watch the 4th program, even all these years later :whistling:

The fact that this program (only talking of the Simpsons) is still running, might tell of the morality of the people, or lack thereof? Just a thought.

Shalom,

Blecccch. I cannot imagine people thinking that The Simpsons is wholesome family entertainment. I watched one show when it started, check that, I watched PART of one show and was so disgusted I turned it off, never watched it again and won't let me kids watch it. So, it's a given that we wouldn't plunk down a nickel to see the movie. Check that, we wouldn't see the movie if that paid US mega bucks to see it. :emot-fail:

I can't stand the Simpson's, or South Park....................stupid, useless and void of all morality.

It sure is, SP :emot-fail:

I have watched the Simpson on and off for years now, and I see that they often have a poke at religion, and God.

Occasionally I find it funny, but more often than not I am disgusted by some of the content.

Although I have been know to watch the simpsons on occasiion or two and realize there disrespect for many things I would like to point out a sad but diturbing truth. The simpsons although a dysfunctional family have been proven to be a good family role model for families today. Also a another good dysfunftional family role model was the show Married with Children. People or Families actually watch these show for good family values even as warped as that sound that is the sad bitter truth.
