If the current hate crime legislation passes through congress nation wide (for all states) it will be impossible to say behind the Pulpit that Homosexuality is a sin. One could face prison along with a stiff fine!

Example true story!

(This law is on the books in Wisconsin)

An ex Gay guy sees a bumper sticker in Wisconsin at a car wash. The bumper sticker says proud to be Gay! Thinking what an opportunity to share about God! The ex Gay guy approaches this individual with the bumper sticker to testify about his conversion from Gay to strait and how God showed him his loving saving grace and healed him of this life style. Thinking his testimony could maybe help this Gay guy consider options about how God could also help him. But a few months later the Gay guy takes him to court about it. The poor ex Gay guy who talked to this guy about God in a nice way almost went to prison for a year and had to pay this guy an out of court settlement for WHITNESSING to him plus the judge gave him 30 days community service for this so called (hate crime).

If your interested in calling an 800 number to tell your representatives in your state to not vote for this hate crime bill legislation here's the number.

1-800-942-1974

I think we are living in the Last days and we as Christians better stand up for what is right! Their are so many lost souls who need Jesus and salvation!

Concered! :)

That is insane for that homosexual to take the former-homosexual to court for witnessing to him. The Christian should of called the American Center for Law and Justice or some other Christian legal organization to argue his case for him.

backontrack, do you know what the Congressial number for the "hate crime" bill is?

I am a little fuzzy on what constitutes a 'hate crime'. I thought it was a collective thing about stiring people up or inciting to riot. Maybe it only is in Britain.

I would wonder if the judge who ruled in this case did not make an error. I also wonder if the decision could have been overturned.

Seems a little arbitrary to me.

It may have been an error but it probably helps the devil's cause in preventing Christians from shedding light on that area of sin. Why it's good to know the laws.

Some people fear that preachers would incite violence against homosexuals just by saying that homosexuality is a sin. How many times have any of you seen somebody beat up or kill somebody who was making a pig of themselves at a restaurant just because the suspect's pastor had spoken against gluttony?

It certainly should make perfect sense...to sensibly thinking people, at least. Remember that satan is crafty. Satan is the father of lies and he uses different tactics with different sins. I believe that males are more inclined to commit a hate crime against another male because of their own personal fears or lust for domination. If they were to use an excuse for their actions it would undoubtedly be religious beliefs, causing victory in several areas of satan's line of offence against us.

I've read the hate crime bill(s) in question SEVERAL times. Unless you commit a felony which is a Crime of Violence, in the context of attempts at bodily harm by using firearms, explosives, or fire, then its not a hate crime.

The bills only apply to Violent crimes. It has nothing to do with preaching about homosexuality. Unless of course, your pastor beats, shoots, sets fire to, or uses an explosive device gainst a homosexual as part of the sermon.

This does not surprise me. If we walk with the Lord, we will be treated as He was. This is to be expected. We will notice that the world will become darker as the day of the Lord draws near.

I found this:

SEC. 4. SUPPORT FOR CRIMINAL INVESTIGATIONS AND PROSECUTIONS BY STATE, LOCAL, AND TRIBAL LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIALS.

(a) Assistance Other Than Financial Assistance-

(1) IN GENERAL- At the request of State, local, or Tribal law enforcement agency, the Attorney General may provide technical, forensic, prosecutorial, or any other form of assistance in the criminal investigation or prosecution of any crime that--

(A) constitutes a crime of violence;

(B) constitutes a felony under the State, local, or Tribal laws; and

© is motivated by prejudice based on the actual or perceived race, color, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, or disability of the victim, or is a violation of the State, local, or Tribal hate crime laws.

The bold is added by me to point to this section. I'm not sure if this means it is a hate crime, but only that they have the obligation to assist?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
