Even San Francisco critic says 'romantic comedy' much closer to 'Caligula' than 'Sleepless in Seattle'

I shudder to think what the eventual 'Unrated' DVD version is going to be like. I didn't think the commercials was putting up a 'When Harry Met Sally' front.

What saddens me is the fact that Jessica Alba was a confessing Christian eariler in her life but got turned off by the church as a teen when some fellow believers spoke up about the way she dressed. Up to this point, Alba had never done a nude scene (I don't know if she does in 'Good Luck Chuck'). Lord, please woo Jessica Alba back to you (and save Dane Cook....and everybody involved in this movie).

I agree. Those S.F. people are pretty tolerant......I wouldn't go anywhere near this movie.

If the secular movie reviewers said it stank like an open sewer, I'm not going anywhere near it.

Generally when I see the "R" symbol, to me, it stands for Red Flag!

I very rarely watch rated R movies, simply because I know I can count on Hollywood to put something undesirable in it.

I find it extremely sad that this "romantic comedy", which will likely be adored by women fans, portrays a man allowing himself to be used by numerous women. How very distressing and likely a good portrail of the way men in general feel these days. And women, lap it up!

Wow. this really surprises me (though I don't know why!). The previews portray a romantic comedy - sort of slap-stick, even. I didn't even pay attention to the R rating - my bad for that, huh! Glad i saw this thread.

It's pathetic. They keep lowering the bar. What used to be R is now PG17, what used to be PG17 is noiw PG13, what used to be PG13 is now G. Now days, what is PG13 probably isn't suitable for anyone. This is just my perspective from the rare times I go to movies.

Yet again, tis all about discernment...I will not be touching this movie with a ten-foot pole, yet believe it or not, there are actually a few "red flag" movies I would no doubt highly recommend...Good Will Hunting, Dead Poets Society, The Matrix Trilogy, of course, The Passion of the Christ...these are extremely powerful films that also have an amazing message...if something is obviously blasphemous, do not defile yourself...but good can be found, even in the extreme...
