Question for evolutionists.

I would like to suggest to all the non-believers who are curious about Christianity and want proof that God exists to read a book by C.S. Lewis called "Mere Christianity". Maybe you have heard of it. It basically explains what Christians believe in a very educational level. I think many of you here are curious about Christianity. That's why you joined a Christian forum. So, I know this book will help many of you understand it. It's very very good! I highly recommend it to anyone, even the Believers, as well.

I can't agree with this enough. Mere Christianity is a must read for any Christian or anyone who plans to argue against Christianity.

As for the evolution of humans, there's the continued adaptation of the human spine to cope with the stress of bipedalism?

Got any information on that adaptation of the human spine thing handy? This is something I've not heard about.

Because people like you go around slandering science and Evolution with less than satisfying arguments. It's not just that though, it's that you do it particularly because science is a threat to what you hold in highest esteem. If you came here with evidence and sufficient reasons for why a particular scientific theory or hypothesis should not be supported, and actually offer your explanation up as a source of discussion you might garner some respect. But I doubt that's your intention, you come only to preach against what threatens your own position, simply because of that reason. I don't see many Christians here taking it upon themselves to stand up for the scientific community in defending, or at least rationally discussing, one of the most important theories in biology, so you have those of us outside the Christian community here for precisely that reason. Otherwise it seems that you may be catering to the bulk of Christians who are ignorant of the actual theory of Evolution, removing their need to actually question the world, and try to reason things for themselves.

Those of you outside the Christian community are entitled to your views and whatever evidence you choose to accept....BUT... you come to this board to try to prevent Christians from telling other Christians the Truth??? News flash, Joel, you're probably fighting an uphill battle with Christians; in trying to convince most of them that we evolved from apes and were not created as the Bible tells us. Who did you say your boss was again????

Call your Lord what you will, but he is NOT science as it is actually defined. You can't just throw any word on your God and say it's descriptive of him. Science is "a system of acquiring knowledge based on the scientific method, as well as to the organized body of knowledge gained through such research." Is that what the Lord is? Calling the Lord "science" is just word-play to try to push any scientific findings outside of the realm of judgment on your precious beliefs. By calling the Lord "science", you can now comfortably disregard any scientific findings, because they won't interfere with the existence of your God when they are subject to him.

My Lord is the same one who created YOU, Joel. He is science actually....He is the Creator of everything and everyone. You're right, I can't just throw any word at God and say it's descriptive of Him....there are no words to describe the glory of the Lord. There's no 'word play' in telling the Truth, my friend, and my beliefs are indeed precious; not just to me but to billions of believers. Calling the Lord 'science' is not disregarding anything; it's giving the glory to Him. I have a lot of respect for science and the good things it has brought into our lives. Science doesn't disprove God but, rather, points directly at Him.
