the fact IS, vickilynn, that this man is in need of our PRAYER. i don't personally think he's backslidden, i think dawg is a babe in Christ who has never gotten off the bottle and needs to grow up spiritually. let's agree together to pray to that end, shall we? :noidea:

Shalom,

First off, if you read my posts in this thread, I said I was ALREADY praying for him.

Secondly, no one said he was backslidden.

Thirdly, you don't know him well enough to make that statement about his spiritual life.

Fourthly, I will CONTINUE to pray for Dog, but he does need to stand accountable, as we ALL would.

I find it AMAZING that y'all are more concerned about hiding sin than letting G-d expose it! Way too much political correctness here.

Welcome to Worthy./*sarcasm*/ :noidea:

Shalom Toni,

It amazes me that the Biblical foundation is being overlooked and stuffed away in preference for a celebrity. This is condemned in the Scriptures.

Amen, sister! That is why I said Welcome to Worthy. I'm with you 100%. Political correctness is running amuck here. :noidea:

Shalom Toni,

I agree. I've asked this several times because it is so painfully clear. Why is the world all up in arms about Dog's racial slurs and not the vile things he curses using G-d's holy name? This is more serious to me! I would like to see him make a public apology to Christians.

vicki, i think i'm going to let you be combative with someone else. but i would like to say a couple of things in closing. eric referred to him as backslidden, and you responded to his comment. THAT is why i made my comment.

secondly, i know enough about him, through his testimony and through all the same means that you know of him through, to make that educated assessment of his spiritual life. however, neither you nor i can judge whether he has repented to God, because until he makes such a public statement, that is between him and our heavenly father. he doesn't owe us an apology for offending God, he owes God that apology. maybe he has already cried out to God for forgiveness, and maybe the Holy Spirit is still working on him in that area.

i thoughtfully suggested a change in the title so as not to cause further misunderstanding. i think, if we would like to continue lifting this brother up in prayer, it would be very helpful for the title to be changed so that the bickering, the accusations, the personal attacks, and the 'tude can simmer down.

Vickilynn, I never said anyone had backslidden. Why are you always telling people to stick to the facts and flying off the handle. Who are you to yelp when thinga aren't going your way?

The man blasphemed and used racial tones, but he is still a christian brother. He needs prayer, not gossip from a bunch of scandal mongers. Besides I wasn't addressing you in particular. just the way the thread was heading. When I'm addressing you I will mention your name........and those are the facts

Shalom Eric,

You said it doesn't mean he backslid. I was just clarifying that no one ever said he did. And I'm not flying off any handle dude, you don't know me nor can you hear my voice, so yes, stick to the facts and keep personal judgments out.

I will agree with you, Eric. We really should just stick to praying for him that he grow in Christ and not gossip about him, which is what it seems like we are doing here. I said it SEEMS like, not what it actually is.

sorry, i gotta say one thing more. this is a general comment, not directed at anybody.

i've learned over the years that forgiveness is something we should offer, even before the apology is made. that's what God did for us. He offered His son as a living sacrifice for our sins. He offered us eternal life. when we come to Christ, it is God we repent to. it is HE whose forgiveness we accept.

having raised a couple of headstrong kids, i can tell you i often had to forgive them when no apology was forthcoming. it is by extending that love FIRST that draws them back to where they need to be.

Shalom,

That's funny, I consider your posts to be combative.

secondly, i know enough about him, through his testimony and through all the same means that you know of him through, to make that educated assessment of his spiritual life.

Sorry, you don't know him personally or well enough to assess his spiritual life. You can have your "opinion", but in reailty, that's all it is. Same as me. I am seeing the fruit his mouth.

however, neither you nor i can judge whether he has repented to God, because until he makes such a public statement, that is between him and our heavenly father.

Again, you are not reading what I'm saying. I said this very thing, yet you still argue.

he doesn't owe us an apology for offending God, he owes God that apology.

Of course he owes G-d an apology, that's a given. But, as to the us, I disagree. I believe he owes the Christian community an apology more than he owes the Black community an apology. But, the racial slurs get the attention.

maybe he has already cried out to God for forgiveness, and maybe the Holy Spirit is still working on him in that area.

Maybe, maybe not. You don't know and neither do I. Again, nothing but conjecture. As I said before ONLY G-d knows. I am praying for him to have a true heart change and not simply do "damage control" as his publicist works out.

i thoughtfully suggested a change in the title so as not to cause further misunderstanding. i think, if we would like to continue lifting this brother up in prayer, it would be very helpful for the title to be changed so that the bickering, the accusations, the personal attacks, and the 'tude can simmer down.

There is no misunderstanding for those who choose to read my posts and my explanation. As I said before, if someone is offended even AFTER I have explained repeatedly, then they should take that offense to the L-rd. And again, this thread is about DOG, not my wording.

I am hearing alot of judgement here Who made you folks the judge? Has any one read the book of Matthew lately, the teachings of our LORD and Savior? I use KJV only.

Matt 6:14 " For if ye forgive men their trespasses;your heavenly Father will also forgive you;vs.15) But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."

Matt 7:1 "Judge not, that ye be judged. vs 2) For with what judgement ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again." Please continue reading for yourself Matt 7 vs. 3-5 where this type of behavior I have read in some of the responses here, Jesus calls you a hypocrite.

Lastly: Matt 18: 21-22:

21) "Then Peter came to Him(Christ) and said " Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?

22) Jesus saith unto him " I say not unto thee, until seven times; but, until seventy times seven."

This is between Dog and GOD. I say we pray for Dog, too. I don't like his show anymore because it got boring. It is the same deal every week but at least he prays and professes the name of our LORD, Jesus Christ on national TV weekly. How many other folks do you see do that?

Most of TV nowadays consists of pushing perversion and pushing the liberal agenda.

May GOD Bless DOG and his family.

In Christ's name I pray,

So, basically, you are calling me a liar and judging my heart, disregarding what I've told you about the wording and my heart motives.

Dear Vickilynn -

Please re-read my words. I said nothing of your heart. I was disturbed by the wording given. If you read my last sentence, you should see how I explained that.

The words, "Praise God, he is being purified," I can say, "Amen!" to.

The words, "Praise God, he got exposed," I cannot say, "Amen!" to no matter what the motives.

I wish you could understand this.

Life and death is in the power of the tongue, and how you use it, no matter what the motives, can bring either life or death.

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in Your sight, O Lord, my Strength and my Redeemer.

:emot-pray:

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
