I wish i lived when Jesus did to, so i could have got to know him in person

Why? When you can get to know HIM in Spirit! And soon enough YOU WILL....We all will!

Blessings

damo1

hay shad i read your post and i seem to hear you but its by faith that wil get us their and i am sure that if the disciples and the apostles wear walking this earth in this time they wil find it hard to live the way we are use to living i mean with the vast technologoy we have the cars the improvment in our homes and even the entertainment we have like tvs steroes microwaves and home phones to moblie phones and even dvd recorders to cam recorders to wear we can record what ever we want even a church event

just imagine how it would be for these guys even learning how to use an automatic atm machaine

yes it was so simple for them jesus born in a barn instead of in a hospital then being chased by a mad king who wanted him dead

know showers like we have or even hot water if they wanted hot water they would have to boil it on a camp fire

i mean can you imagine these guys even sitting in our church services with al the technology and even seeing the musical equipment we have like key boards guitars amps to bring out the sound drums and even microphones

and then the computers our churches have and how our sermons and even church messages are plasterd on a big screen

gods spirit shad can work threw you while you are on this earth and if you want your faith to be like theirs what is stopping you i mean if it is effecting you when ever you read gods word just ask the holy spirit to help you walk in that faith

i am about to go to a country shad wear my partners people live on every single word of god they do not just sift threw gods word and only hear what they want to hear but belive with al their heart with al their mind with all their soul in everything that they read in gods word with out doubting or becoming like a double minded man

my partner has seen miracles after miracles happen right before her eyes i know its been one of my hearts desires shad to wittness what the disciples wittnessed and even the apostles wittnessed

and my partner has been talking openly with me on what god has been doing in the philippines you know shad my partner and many filapino women who can not afford a washing machaine wash their own clothes they wear to church and threw the week by hand even the bed linnen they wash it all by hand

when i was livign in a coastal town and our son was born we did this for 2yrs before we could even aford a washing machaine we washed every thing by hand we even washsed ethans nappys by hand we did not have much an old loung chair milk crates i got and a peace of old wood that i turned out into a coffee table we just put a shade cloth over the wood i sanded back and varnished it with wood varnish

we even had old car seats on our back varandah that my father in law got for me and sevral in our loung room which we put covers over the car seats my wifes father got for us we got given a queen size water bed it took me time to get use to this

we would hitch into town as we lived 8kays from the main town it was peace ful living right next too the beach but i had to get use to hitching and also walking into town i got very fit very fast then the locals got to know us as the school bus would only leave at a certain time which we had to stand with ethan in my arms all the way into town

my partner soon wife to be lives such a simple life shad and she has even given her monthly pay which is $300 filapino dollars

while as a commercial cleaner i can make any wear from $940 australian dollars to $ 1300 a fortnight after i pay my own tax and put supperanuation in i am stil left with a fair bit and when my wife to be asked me what i make i was almost ashamed to tell her shad as she went silent when i told her what i earn as a commercial cleanner compared to her pastors wage and its not just her that gets this the other 7 pastors under her also get this but one pastor works 2 jobs as he is also a dr

so when i finaly am approved by the department of imagration to live in the philippines with my partner i am going to have to do a lot of unjusting shad but one of my hearts desires is going to come true

as i am going to wittness what the disciples wittnessed and what the aposptles wittnessed as people in my partners country are hungry for gods word and they eat live and breath gods word and put everything into practise even sharing food giving money to the needy and their pesonal belongings

a while back my partner got given a brand new 5 wheel drive in the envelope it said i hope you are able to take this as a blessing with keys and rejo payed for no name at all left and they cried

about 2 months ago a 3 yr old boy classed by the drs as dead was bought back to life shad and i am not joking about this mind you it tested my partners faith and by this one act it bought the hole family to god and people in her town wear she lives still to this day talk about this and the child was taken back to the drs and the drs shad could not say a thing

you just have to step out in faith shad and belive with all your heart and god can work threw you wear you are shad

every singl word written down is not a lie shad we just have to have that child like faith jesus talks about

i mean with in these last few months shad i am remembering things i heard when i just came out of jail in my dreams i am seeing my self in a church worshiping god and even singing new songs as i play the guitar i have written two song so far that i got from my dreams and wil be going over this with my partners worship leader as they have a very talented gifted worship team

as my dreams are normaly of me chasing some one or something from the past

let gods word grab hold of you let it breath in you and let your self belive in what gods word says shad

yes we al want to go home to our fahter in heaven and be with him shad that is even my hearts desire yet while i am alive on this earth i am going to win as many souls into the kingdom as i can as i want to snatch as many souls out of the enemys camp and laugh at him when i do this before i even go home to be with my father

as when my father feels i am ready to come home i am sure he wil do this

i hear you but do not let your heart be troubled if you want to also live that simple faith gospal for asia and may christian orginisations are looking for volunters to help in the mission fields if you feel that you can do this for 12 months or 2 yrs talk to your pastor in the church or do an online search

one young lady from my church did this she was 17 when she went of over seas and she came back a changed women as she was wild and go off the tracs a bit all her family serve in our church and when she gave her heart to god she felt drawn to help out on a missions trip if you want to keep in contac with me and when i am settled down and alowed to live as a filapino citazen you can even come to the philippines for a while and help me reach out to the gangs and the troubled youth as my new brother in law has just came out of bible collage and is second acting youth pastor and is wanting to learn how to reach out to his own kind

so with al my life experiance and what i have been doing hear with the troubled youth while helping build the new church my partner has just set up i wil take my brother in law under my wings and i wil set up some programs for him and the young leaders of my partners main church

so this can also be an option for you in the futer but try what i stated shad and talk with your pastor they wil show you how to raise funds for your self with the young girl in our church amy we halped pay for her trip every one pitched in plus she sold cakes and choclates as well

hope this sort of shows you shad that i hear you

from damo

The days that Jesus lived were no more "good" than these days. They just had different sin issues during the time Jesus walked the earth. Like my dad used to say, "Same circus, different clowns".

True Eric but in the days of Jesus they didn't have the evil of Islam spread across the globe killing all they can who disagree with them.

True, but they had a pagan Roman Empire that was conquering almost every nation in the known world, and importing their prand of idolatry, slavery, and immorality. The Romans did a very good job of killing those with whom they disagreed.

They were worse really. They had all the problems we have today, plus slavery, plus a total disregard for innocent life in many societies (we are talking about societies that saw nothing wrong with slaughtering every man, woman, and child in nations you were at war with), and they had what amounted to as a caste system.

Shad, I've often thought the same way you are thinking. I sometimes wonder what it would be like going town to town, preaching the Word of God, trusting God 100% for my needs. Yet, He has not called me to do so.

As for the material things, we can live a simpler life by getting rid of what is not necessary. When my kids were young, and I brought them to church, we were very poor. They looked ashamed about how they were dressed. It broke my heart, but all I could say is that God looks at what is in the inside, not the outside. I still feel this today. I go to church in my everyday clothes.

We are to be His servant where we are right now. If we are faithful with the little He has for us to do, He will give us more. This just may be preaching from town to town.

Keep in His ways!

Shad,

Go to a wilderness outfitter, get you a good backpack, 4000 cubic inches or larger. Make sure its conformable. Get you a good self inflating mat. The lightest backpacking tent you can afford. A backpacking stove, smaller the better. Get a good mummy bag. Get some backcountry cookware as well and items like a good compass, and other necessities. You can find some good deals at www.campmor.com

Then, go to www.wilderness.net. If you are in Georgia, then the Cohutta Federal Wilderness would be a good starter one. At 37,000 acres its big enough to get away from civilization.

"Take a course in good water and air; and in the eternal youth of Nature you may renew your own. Go quietly, alone; no harm will befall you. "

--John Muir

Backpacking is hard, but if you do it, you will find that you love it. The hardest part really is just getting on the trail. However, after that first night, when you wake up miles from the nearest road, you will never want to go back.

I have often thought about that - Getting back to the grassroots of being a disciple of Yeshua.

But to think He's in me today, in this time and space just blows me away.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
