Thats not what I'm talking about at all, I'm saying men need to be responsible for their own actions instead of blaming it on the women. Isn't that what Adam did?

The Bible also says for a man to look at a woman lustfully, he has already committed adultery with her in his heart. There is NO mention of how the woman is dressed or behaving in this. Because the sin isn't the womans, its the mans.

Correct.

One man could happily sit amongst several women who are naked and not have a single imoral or impure lustful thought enter his mind, especailly if he has his own wife who he only has eyes for present!

Another man on other hand can see a nun or another see a woman dressed in a tent from head to foot but is showing her bare feet. the man has a foot fetish. These two men spend all day and weeks after fantasizing about what they have seen and lusting after those women .

If you read my previous post you will see a few other ideas that i wont repeat here, however we do seem to be missing the man who has these problems out the equation. As with any sin or bad thought it is somthing a person can be healed from and they should be activly concious of not putting themslevs in situations where they will have lustful thoughts.

A person who has a drink problem will not go anywhere near an establishment that sells alcohol, such as traveling 20 miles to get some bread instead of end of road as they know the shop 20 miles away does not sell alcohol. In the same way a man with lust problems should be stopping himself from looking at things on internet, avoiding places like the beach etc.

However a man who has these problems should be allowed to attend any church activity or function without being exposed to these thoughts, this is where women must dress modesty. That Christian man may also be in the library, in the garage, in the shop you go to, anywhere at all, so again you must be dressed appropriately at all times. But beach is different story.

If you go back through this thread somewhere, I've already said that women need to dress with modesty and restraint. But, that doesn't change the fact that this thread is putting the onus on us and not on the men where it also belongs. Sometimes, it doesn't make any difference what a woman is wearing a man will have impure thoughts. All I'm saying is men need to take responsibility for their own actions and not try to place the blame all on the women, which is basically what this whole thread is doing, along with plenty of the women.

Shalom SP,

No one is "blaming" anyone. There's not one post that blames anyone. I'm sorry you feel that way. You are entitled to your opinion and I'm not going to go back and forth with you on it. I just want to say that the onus is on EACH of us to dress and behave in a way that does not cause our brother to stumble. Anything less than that is not loving one another as Jesus loves us and calls us to love.

I appreciate the exhortation for women to consider that the Word says we must dress modestly as sometimes we don't think about it. That's all.

I'll leave you alone now. Love you! :)

A camisole under a blouse can also help to avoid bralines being seen.

Some years I found out that a Christian brother had gotten a glimpse of my, er, chest when I leaned over. He cherished that image and used it to commit mental adultery against his wife for years! How did I find out? Because he told me himself after my husband died - the guy started hitting on me, even though he was married.

I would hate for such a thing to happen to anyone else.

Shalom Sheya Joie,

A wise word of experience. Thank you for sharing that. We had something similar happen to some friends of ours and it caused terrible repercussions. The woman who wore modest clothing (long skirts, loose tops), had no idea that she did something in front of a man (not her husband) and the man was able to see part of her body that he used for sexual fantasy.

Please women, please be mindful.

I agree Vickilynn both men and women should always be aware of how they are acting or how they are dressed. My wife helps me to make sure that I never show chest hair or wear pants the are to tight and I always see to it that my wife doesn't wear anything that is too revealing. We work together on that.

So where is the original poster in this discussion?:huh::noidea: I have just checked. Since he posted the OP, he has not contributed to this discussion at all. Is he just sitting there enjoying the debate anonymously? :noidea: :noidea: I just can't see the point of starting a discussion and then not posting in response! :noidea:

(Maybe I am just naive!). I suggest that the discussion is stopped here until he responds to some of the points that have been made in response to his OP!!! :o :o :o :o

Shalom Afal,

The poster has been one who has posted on the board before. Whether the OP makes any comments or not, the OP stands and all are free to contribute to the topic. I think it's a good one and one that makes for good discussion and Bible teaching. If you wish to drop out, that's up to you, but I think the thread is fine as it is, people are making interesting comments back and forth. There is no board rule that states the OP must join in the conversation BTW.

You missed my point Vickilynn. The point I was trying to make was that if somebody wishes to discuss an issue, then that is fine, but as the person who wished to discuss this issue hadn't made any further contribution to the discussion, then what can we deduce from that? Well, I'll leave that up to you to decide!

By the way, at no time have I suggested that any board rules have been broken. I was just making an observation.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
