I receive prayer requests and emails from some missionary friends of mine in the Phillipines.

I am always happy to pray for them and know of their updates.

Yet, whenever I ask them for prayer, they just ignore my emails?

Am I of lesser importance?

My husband and I are involved in Prison Fellowship.

Ok, we are not leaving the shores of our country but we are working

for the Lord - involved in missionary work.

We need prayer too.

Just curious to know why this could be.

thanks!

It's easy to miss emails, or to just pray without telling someone that you are praying.

Yes - true, but it's SO easy to send an email with just the words,

"Praying!!"

I know they don't miss emails, because they requested prayer for contacting MALARIA

and when I emailed them back to ask how they were doing - they quickly

emailed back to tell me!

I think we make far too many excuses for people sometimes!!

Sorry!!!

How do you know they are ignoring them? how many other people do they know like you? Have you thought they could get 100s of emails a day asking for prayer? you could be one of many people on a list they have that they pray for regulary, if they dont pray for you then do not hold it as a grudge nor let it come in between your friendship, this is how Satan tries to destroy the Body of Christ.

All of our jobs are important to the Body of Christ, no you are not less important and many people will even look at your ministry in envy and think how privelliged you are to be serving in such a high profile way. However we all can not have the best jobs, we all can not be preachers or evangelists. I see the Body as a ship sailing upon the ocean. there is only one captian, a hand full of senior bridge officers and ending up with someone who's only function is to clean the deck. all these jobs are just as important in maintaining the running of the ship, if the deckhand did not bother cleaning teh decks accidents would happen which could have disasterous knock on effects or render a person unfit for duty.

So it is within the body, so please do not feel you are of lesser importance and please do not think you are being deliberately ignored, wondering if one person is praying for you is not something you should be worried or annoyed over. If you need prayer then of course use worthy! a few seasoned Prayer Warriors can do wonders opposed to a few friends who may just utter a mention of you briefly in a prayer that is dealing with many people.

Do not allow satan to come between you and your friend, and do not allow this issue to take hold as a bad seed.

Dearest Grace

I sense that you are a very kind and loving spirit, gentle and very fragile.

You already know the our Lord knows of your needs even before you ask.....

I pray that G-d will bless you and give you peace.

I'll agree it is sad, and discouraging sometimes, when you ask for someone to pray for you, and they don't reply back, I've been there a few times. One thing I do know, our strength isn't a persons prayer, it's in Christ alone, Yes it's very important to pray for one another, but the power in our prayers comes only from the one thats working in your life, in your husbands life, he knows your prayers, he knows your requests. :)

I would email them a second time, and say: "I hope you received my last email requesting your prayers for xyz. And I hope you will take time to pray for this need."

If they don't answer then, I'd just forget about them.

How do you know that they are ignoring you?

I myself often see prayer requests on WB, and I pray, though I don't post a response.

After all, for who's ears are prayers meant?.....for ours, or for God's?

I'm an inner-city missionary and ask for much prayer and am asked for much prayer. I don't try to offend anyone in anyway and hope that people understand that the volume is so great there simply isn't enough time in a day to RSVP everyone. I do know this. When Adonai answers my prayers much thanksgiving is made to Him for those who love enough to interecede for me.

Shalom!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
