If you can see spirits with the naked eye ball you should consider it a gift from God. Because not every body can see spirits.

I say this from the bottom of my heart, please be very careful with what you post here. The enemy will very much distort what is posted here and use it to their advantage.

I agree. Most don't believe this but I believe that satan can see our thoughts. Which how he knows exactly when to tempt us and when we are weakest.

Not necessarily our thoughts (IMO) but the words we speak. Scripture mentions to be very careful with the tongue. When Jesus spoke, He said that His words are Spirit. Our words very much affect what goes on in the spiritual realm. For instance our prayers which may seem to us as a simple prayer... infact has an great effect in the spiritual realm. :emot-bounce:

Ezekiel 28 is a discreption of satan. So what do you think about verse 3 "Behold you are wiser then Daniel; there is no secret that they can hide from you. Who are "they" and what secrets can they not hide fron satan?

Amen 7thseal, satan knows when we are weak by how we speak. What we speak shows if we are spiritually strong or weak at that time. If we were to speak His words at ALL times imagine the changes that would occur in the spirit! :emot-bounce:

Long ago just after I came to let Jesus into my life I was serving some community service and one of my jobs was to go out and unload bins full of newspapers and old magizines for transport to a recycling center. One day I started having the temptation to look for some porno mags in one of those bins and it was serious spiritual warfare because my body wanted it but my mind didn't. I never spoke a word to anybody about what I was thinking because I was a shamed of what I was thinking because I had been telling every body about Jesus.

And the very first bin I looked into to see how full it was, had a porno mag right on top of the whole pile not 10 inches from my face.

Now we all know that God would not put that kind of temptation in front of us but satanin fact would. And we also know that God is in control and would let satan putmagazines the mag there to test my charector and it was my choice to pick that mag up or leave it.

So how did satan knowcharacter to put that porno mag in that bin, on that day, at that moment when I was so tempted on that very same day of all other days.

Since I never spoke the words out of my mouth the only conclusion I can come up with is that he knew when I was weak and what I was thinking.

Angelique, honey -

I know how strong the pull towards the supernatural is. If I had not come to know Jesus at such an early age as I did, I know I would have fallen into witchcraft or Neo-Paganism, or something of the like (that is, if I didn't get around to ending my life . . . but that's another story).

I know the thrill of power is not easy to let go of. But God did not mean for us to be powerless.

I know it is hard to let go when you can't conceive what you are gaining when you let the stuff go. When torment is all you know, how can you understand peace? How can you grab a hold of peace when you don't know what peace is?

This goes back to taking a step of faith - the same step of faith you took when you accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord. This step is to believe that to destroy and get rid of these items of demonic power will bring an end to the torment you so desperately want to be freed from. I know it's a scary thought to let go of your old security, to break off the last ties to your past, to cut off the "safety net" of return.

But you got to let go. You need to let go. It is the only way to bring an end to the torment and fear.

I had to give up something myself last night, so I can feel the struggle of letting go. But I was alone, and didn't have anyone to encourage me along or cheer me on or offer to take my hand. Just me and the Lord, and I had to let it go. And yes, I cried; I cried a lot, and I cried hard. But I feel better for having done so. And really, it isn't cruelty to have to let go of something I love, for what I was holding onto only brought me heartache. And yes, it is difficult to believe that what I am holding onto in place of what I let go of can compare with the other. But that's where trust comes in - trust in Daddy (God), that He knows best, and that He only desires good things for His children.

Prayers that you can let go of the treasure that brings you torment for the Treasure that will bring you peace and joy.

I have not been able to bring myself to burn it or throw it away. My cards are especially hard to part with. The one Christian friend I have is coming to my house when she gets off work late tonight and I plan on talking with her in person about this.

I feel like I have this strong inner battle over this and I'm not sure why I can't seem to let go of everything but I keep praying I can soon.

Sister it is not at all bizarre. If you can see spirits with the naked eye ball you should consider it a gift from God. Because not every body can see spirits. If you want to know if the spirit is good or bad you should ask God for a confirmation. If God doesn't give you one and you don't know whether they are good or bad don't have anything to do with them at all. It is always better to be safe then sorry. If you don't know what you are dealing with. Don't deal with it.

I know my gift is from God. To me that's never been in question. Even as a child before I moved into the occult, I could see. Actually, at the moment, I am doing what you say. If i'm not sure, i'm ignoring what I am seeing and I am seeing a lot of activity around me to be ignoring.

My sister, because of my past with dark things I too am sensitive to this area, as I have discussed in another thread with ya. Being sensitive and able to see and feel things can be a gift, but can also be a traumatic event. Many people who are not sensitive this way may have a hard time comprehending these things. They are real, very much so, but mixing with spirits can pull you in ways that will always twist you, unless sent by the Father. Even Satan himself can come as an angel of light, 2 Corinthians 11:14. 1 John 4:2 Hereby ye know the spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God. Ask the Lord to keep your armor constantly renewed Ephesians 6:10-17. As I and many have said, anything you have left over from that life... destroy it, let nothing stand anymore between you and the Father. Your Father in Heaven sees what is going on, if you couldn't stand up under it then He would intervene, unless you willingly still continue to submit and give these things leadway. I understand how you feel sister, I have never sat and had any discussions with spirits, but I understand having to rebuke spirits and spiritual warfare all too well Angelique. To share these things with Worthy is alot for me to do. I don't normaly put myself out there like that, most things from the Lord I keep between the Lord and I. But I feel compelled to share because of the post that you have given from your heart. There are consequences for sin and disobedience sister, continue to pray to be released from the things that are troubling you. You will never feel peace though until you really let go and trust fully in Jesus. Now is the time Angelique, commit fully sister, not half way. You are not alone in this battle, and I am sure that there are alot of other people who have similar experiences, maybe not at the depth of you and I, maybe so, but it is real. Jesus is the way Angelique, nothing can take you from our Father in Heaven.

Umm, mead, can you pm me about this? I have questions about the traumatic part. I don't understand.

Letting go is never easy. Emotional attachments, spiritual attachments, pleasure attachments, . . . . Letting go feels like you are losing a part of yourself.

But there can also be hooks and chains involved, especially with stuff like this. Imagine a fish hook with a barb that got caught in your skin; having it removed can be more scary than leaving it in there. In such a case, your desire to be free needs to overcome the pain of removal.

Or think of it like this . . . if you have cancer, that cancer is a part of you (after all, it is your own cells). But it is not beneficial to you and can even destroy you. Thus in order to let go, you need to see the cancer for what it is: a part of you that should not be a part of you, has no business being a part of you, is trying to take you over, is seeking to destroy you, wants you dead.

Can you use your sight to see this?

 prayers

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
