Being born in the year of the dragon or the year of the mouse is only man-made ideas. The only "power" is what power humans give them. If you believe that being born in the year of the dragon gives you certain "powers", then you will act that way. Same with horoscopes. The "sign" a person is born under has now power except for what you believe it means. According to the Chinese custom I was born in the year of that dragon, and according to horoscopes I was born under the sign of Virgo. This means nothing. But, I choose to follow Christ and that means everything.

The Mazzaroth is a very interesting study. I agree with hr. jr. that it is a clear message from ancient times that God revealed His plan of salvation. I will tell you this. You can go ask any farmer who grows non hybrid food crops, and whether they are a Christian or not, they will tell you it does matter where the sign is when the crops are planted. Hybrids do not seem to be as sensitive to what sign they are planted under as open polinated non-hybrids. I only know a few farmers who does not plant by the almanac. Their crops are consistently worse than the ones who do plant by it. My grandfather was a commercial farmer. I thought he was a nut until I realized that he and the other farmers who planted by the almanac "always" had superior per acre yield to the ones who did not. To further add to this "mystery," his soil was not of high quality. It was actually inferior for the area. There are perversions of the Zodiac. You must keep in mind that God created the stars and their alignment. The alignment of the stars foretold the Birth of our Savior. Simply because some pervert it, does not mean that in its pure form it is evil.

How did the "Wise men from the East" know Jesus was born? Daniel the prophet was an "astrologer." Daniel the prophet passed down the "astrological alignment" to look for to signify the birth of the Savior.
