oh, and as a side note, i also despise slips, even more than skirts. and i really really despise static cling that comes from wearing most skirts, and all slips.

but the worst thing of all, the absolute worst, is the feel of pantyhose (nylons) on my skin. YIKES! the feel of pantyhose, to me, is almost identical to the sound of someone running their fingernails across a chalk board.... TOTAL heebie-jeebies.

Obviously pants, as well as anything that isn't a full burka is the height of immodesty. Anything short of a full burka (including face covering, you don't want men to be consumed by their lust for your face with makeup) is unnacceptable.

Anyways, let's say I *did* wear a skirt over baggy capri's, I'd like to think you would not laugh at me. Funny or not, it really is not very nice to laugh and poke fun. If I was purposely dressing to be funny, ie, wearing a clown costume, that would be a different thing.

You said something about your capris being 3 sizes too big and bunched up and that you were going to wear them with a skirt over them. I think that would look rather silly and I hope you would not wear that, for your own sake.

I just read that you don't see the problem with slips, or wearing skirts. I think that if you wear pants a lot, you'll see the difference. I rarely wear a skirt or dress too, because I find it to be a real pain.

I am speaking more of wearing dresses all of the time. Like do you garden in a dress? Do you rake leaves in a dress? Do you paint trim in a dress? Do you're neighbours see you wearing a dress all the time and having your friends over who also wear dresses all of the time. That's what might give them the appearance that you are in a cult.

Can I ask what kind of church you go to?

I've honestly ever heard of one church that made women wear dresses all of the time. The pastor kept making up rules and made the parents homeschool the kids and wanted them to move out into the country. My friend's brother was in this church and I was curious and wanted to check it out. I went and felt really odd, like people were really checking us out. After the singing, I went to use the ladies room and I went into the basement and the kids were all doing this weird almost chanting and murmering thing and even swaying while the leader, a man, was yelling, "You could get hit by a bus tomorrow!" Very, very strange indeed and I never went back. That was about 10 years ago. The church was closed down about 3 years ago and the pastor and a few elders charged with sexual crimes against children.

I'm not saying that your church is like that at all, but this is the only church I've heard of personally where the pastors made the women all wear dresses. In retrospect, I think it was the beginning to see how much power he could exert over his flock.

So how do you and others who don't think women should wear pants feel about women working in a factory, or women athletes?
