What does Grace mean to you?

Grace to me means there is nothing I can do to achieve eternal life it is a gift from God through Jesus Christ i.e. the thief on the cross.

Grace is the freely given, unmerited favor and love of God, as seen in the verse below.

Ephesians 2:8-9

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.

Have you accepted Jesus as your personal savior? Do you believe in the Trinity? Do you believe that the 66 books of the Canon, from Genesis to Revelation are the exhaustive, inerrant and inspired word of God.

I ask because your posts are very confusing and you are confused by Ephesians 2:8-9

Jon 1:14 and the word was made flesh and dwelt amongst us ( and we beheld His glory, the glory as only the begotten of the father) full of grace and truth. Everyone has been given a measure of grace.

Please forgive my length, but the subject of God's grace means a lot to me and is something I have endeavored to understand lest I receive it in vain in my life.

To me, God's grace is two fold.

First, God's grace comes as the divine influence upon the heart of man to convict him of his sins. Man, being dead in his sins, is often aware that something is wrong but does not know exactly what. That is why God sent His word, to show man his fallen state that he might see his poorness of spirit. How can man know this without the light and conviction of God word?
