All I would say is:

Do your best....and leave the rest to God.

And remember this:

All things work together for good to those who love God; to those who are called according to His purpose.

when its good and it's easy, you know for sure it's God talking to you.

but, when what you're feeling and thinking you need is difficult and could lead to hard times (i.e. walking away from your job), how do you know for sure it's God leading you to do this, or if it's Satan, and his band of demons trying to destroy your life?

any comments?

Whatever seems to you most likely to bring love into the lives of others comes from God.

How to find out? Consider each alternative carefully, ignoring the other until completely finished with the one you are considering. Be measuring the amount of love for others involved as you think about it. Then do the same with the other alternative. Whichever at the end leaves you feeling most peaceful is the direction to take.

From my experience it quickly becomes obvious to me when faced with alternatives that my mind has already made a decision and the processes I am going through are only a method of confirming my decision, so that I can blame God later if it turns out to be the wrong one. But hopefully you are more balanced and honest with yourself than I am with me.

well i agree with praying for sure and if you are having problems hearing or following the leading of Holy Spirit in this i would revert back to the Word and see if what ur needing to do in ur life or change goes against the Word... and if it dont and u cant know if its God then i wouldnt worry about it to much... if it isnt going against the Word of God...

God bless vicki

that is excellent advise! and makes my choice very clear, indeed. whatever brings the most love into the lives of others... that hits the nail right on!

this morning, one of the missionary groups my church sponsors visited. the woman was telling of the work she does. they work for a publishing co (?) that with the help of interpreters, translate the new testiment into languages for areas, mainly in indonesia, africa etc., where the Word is not readily available, and prepare it for publication and distribution. her's is like desk-top publishing of sorts. as she was speaking, i thought to myself, yes! this is the kind of work i'd like to do. !!

I know in my own life that if it is God then there is a peace with the move He wants me to take and it's like you walk through the door and don't even realize it then you realize you are where God wants you to be.

But when the devil comes to tempt me or test me through temptations there is always torment and confusion clouding my mind to the point I don't have any more peace and my faith starts to be weakened little by little.

But with the Lord there is a peace that passeth our understanding. But with the devil their is torment and confusion of mind having no order in your life.

So which one is going on in your life and if you can discern this then maybe you can make a wise decision.

I think the real issue hear, is weather it is your will or God's. All the Devil tries to do is to maminpulate our own natural desires and feellings.

Our own feelings emotions and thoughts, most of the time is what distorts our ability to hear God's voice.

I have found from my own experience with God, that in order to hear clearly what God is saying, I must first allow my own feelings and thoughts to be filtered out. This usually takes some time sitting before the thrown room of God, letting all my desires, and feelings to be crucified with Christ.

I order to be filled with God's plan and purposes, I must be emptied of my own.

Once my own will, plan, and feelings are dead, then I enter into position to recieve what I need from God.

The Cross of Christ is God's avenue to put all things in sync with himself. As you go put the things of yourself to death through the Cross, you can then experience the resurection power of Christ in renewed thinking by the Spirit of regeneration. As you pour yourself out before him, he will cause the desire of your heart to line up with his will.

The key to this whole thing is to give up your own way. Once the things of yourself are out of the way you will have know doubt what God's will is for.

Finally do not be afraid to take a leap of faith. God honors faith. If your takes a leap of faith in the wrong direction, God will honor your faith and sets things right, bring you back to the right path. The Lord is always faithful to those who trust him. Never assume the will of God if there is unforgiveness in your heart toward anybody. Release all offense before you seek him.

God Bless your seeking of his will.

sincerely Mike

I agree with this too.

A pastor once told me "Make a decision to make a decision. Set a date - 30 days, 2 weeks -whatever. Pray on this continually. By the time the deadline rolls around your answer will be clear."

Eric: I thought your suggestion was a good one and was genuine with no bad intent whatsoever. Don't worry if others read into your intents something that is not there. You know your heart was in the right place when you asked.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
