Well, this was the original question:

I am truly distressed at the taking apart of these families!!! If marring 15yr olds and having more than one wife is the worst thing going on there... Geez bring their families back together!!!! Please share with me the terriblness of these things because I guess j am missing something.

He said he must be missing something, and so we were explaining to him what he was missing. :emot-hug:

BTW...I noticed that someone suggested returning the children to the mothers. At first glance this may appear a good idea. However, please consider...the mothers are the ones responsible for instilling the doctrines...not the Fathers. The Father is responsible for the Mothers..the mothers for the children. In most cases, the Fathers don't have hardly any relationship with their many children. This is why it is easier for them to trade them away to another man. (And yes, trade is the right word for it.) The mothers in this case are just as guilty for perpetuating the cycle as the fathers are. Albeit, the fathers have built a system that requires the women to do so.

I think the children should ONLY be returned to the mothers with close supervision...and probation.

Yes, but who do you think controls the wives? Get them away from their husbands and into some counciling and you will have different mothers. The women need to heal, just as much as the children. IMO.

Oh yes...clearly I agree and noted in my post that the Fathers are over the wives. The Fathers are the ultimate bad guys in this since they established this garbage in the first place. I was only speaking to the idea that the children should be given to their mothers without oversight. I wholeheartedly agree that supervision/counseling is in order. I suggest probation as well only as a means of assuring that these mothers have incentive to NOT return to the cycle of abuse that they are so used to.

In many cases, the mothers are more indoctrinated in this false doctrine than the men. The men believe it because they've been taught it...the mothers believe it because they have studied it and applied it and passed it on.

Hi Merin,

I am appauled at your shallow view in looking at 15 yr olds marrying a man perhaps her own father I'm sure unwillingly and then those young girls have to share that man which is forbidden as it is sexual immorality which is also forbidden.

OC

I never said anything about 15yr olds marring their fathers!!!!!!!!

i never said anything about 15yr olds marring unwilllinglly!!!!

Thank so much

I didn't say that you said anything about 15yr olds marrying their fathers but I was responding to your original post where you said, "If marrying 15 yr olds and having more than one wife is the worst thing going on there." But if one man desires one of his daughters to be one of his wives there is nothing that forbid's this practice that I am aware of but if this happens then it is incest.

Also, look at the words I used, "perhaps her own father" this clearly is my thoughts.

I didn't say you said anything about 15yr olds marrying unwillingly. If you will look closely you can see that that is my personal view, "I'm sure unwillingly."

Thank you so much as well

OC

Let me try this again ...

Merin, do you follow the beliefs of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints?

Perhaps he does belong to this sect.

Wouldn't be the first one to pass through here.

You are right. He would not be the first, but allow Merin to speak for himself. To better understand him, I asked this question
.

also what about the" honkey" remark

i'm gonna give him the benefit of the doubt and guess he meant "hunky dory" rather than what he said, which was "honky cool". he does seem to mix up his spelling and grammar a good deal.

can anyone hear me? LOL! Seriously I am not asking about those situations I'd other situations or anything to do with Mormons!! I am just asking what is so wrong with 15 yr olds marring and what is so wrong with having more than one wife?

Since no amount of education will satisfy, why don't you tell us what is right with marrying 15 yr olds and so right with having more than one wife. :whistling:

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
