If you are referring to me I am not blaming our government for Nick Berg's decapitation (and you know that). I did hear on one station that his father is laying some of the blame at their door.

I think whoever did the deed is responsible and should be punished.

Do you think God is on our side in this war LadyC? Do you think God is on anyone's side?

yes, i was referring to you. by repeating the propaganda and not stating that you disagree, then you align yourselves with those who blame american first. nick berg was detained for questioning by american troops. he was released. america was in no way responsible for the tragedy that occurred at the hands of al qaeda.

and yes, i believe God is on our side in this war. i do NOT, however, believe God is on the side of those american soldiers that disgraced our country by humiliating the pows.

for the record, i get extremely offended by people making presumptious comments such as "and you know it". poppycock. say what you mean and mean what you say, and if your intent is misconstrued by a reader, then clarify your position without implying we should be psychic.

I see you like to use the "trigger words": propaganda, blame America first. Maybe, just maybe you are the one brainwashed with propaganda here LadyC. Have you ever asked yourself that question? Yes Nick Berg was released.....after his parents filed suit against Rumsfeld unless that's just liberal media propaganda and not true. Either way what those terrorists did to him was horrifying and I think he was just the first. I think a line has been crossed. Are you the one that mentioned the OT a little further back in this thread? Someone mentioned the killings and maimings authorized by God, sometimes on women and children?

and yes, i believe God is on our side in this war.

Why on earth would you think that?

I don't think God is on our side and this is why: We're not a Christian nation and to be honest I don't think we've ever been. I think the phrase, "We're a Christian nation" is pretty much propaganda. We had slavery from the get-go, many of the founding fathers were universalists, and our govt. has allowed the killing of 3-40 million of our own citizens thru abortion in the past 30 yrs, many fine Christians were against civil rights and now there's a movement to remove all traces of God from public monuments and displays. Why on earth would God be for us when so many of our citizenry is against Him and His Son.

excuse me while i leave this thread before i start saying things that are very un-christ-like. your arrogance astounds me.

i have a brain. i listen to ALL the facts and make INFORMED, INDEPENDANT decisions. you and a couple of others here have been spitting out the garbage you've bought hook line and sinker for several pages now, and then you have the audacity, the arrogance, and the hypocrisy to imply that i'm the one who is brainwashed.

dear charlie, i'm sure you're a very nice person. but right now, YOU and a couple of others have turned my anger towards what happened to the pows, and what happened to nick berg, into apathy while my anger at the idiocy of some of the crap i've read here is boiling over.

mods, feel free to edit or remove my post. i'm gonna shut my mouth before i get this thread shut down.

Hey, friends. I started this thread to show and predict that the media in general would not put the same emphasis on the cold blooded murder of our citizens as they would reporting the idiotic act of a few misguided soldiers. So far I'm right. The big three networks still start their news off with the "latest" on the prison guards and then sort of mention the beheading. All a ploy to herd people's minds in a direction of "change" this November. Does anyone else see through this or am I just stupid?

What I didn't want or expect was for us to argue to the point of anger about unrelated topics. Please be considerate of others and remain civil.

In Him,

t.

Ted, I watched CBS news tonight and that was absolutely right. The malicous murder was 3 or 4th in the news. I can't stand Dan Rather and I wonder why do I even watch the jerk.

But speaking of jerks, here is a quote from our upstanding and chief-liberal ted kennedy:

On March 19th, 2004, President Bush asked, "Who would prefer that Saddam's torture chambers still be open?" Shamefully we now learn that Saddam's torture chambers reopened under new management, U.S. management. President Bush has presided over America's deepest and deepest fall from grace in the history of our country and the tragedy unfolding in Iraq is the direct result of a colossal failure of leadership.

Can anyone imagine a US senator comparing our president to hussein? Who could imagine a US senator comparing our troops to the murderous iraq prison guards?

I'm sorry, but "America's deepest and deepest fall from grace in the history of our country" is electing kennedy in the first place...

I have a question, have any of you seen Nick's execution? Did you pay any attention to it?

I do not know who that was that they beheaded but the chap was already dead to start with. There was no blood anywhere. If he had been killed in the maner portrayed there would have been blood everywhere and Nick or Nick's body would not have simply laid there. It was even a bad fake. It is all geared to create fear and hate and it is working for we are even fighting among oursleves.

Get a grip on things people this is not all it is made out to be. Stop falling for their mind control main stream news releases and pay attention to all that is happening. Especially here in the US.

Catsmeow I am right beside you praying for not only do the general US and iraqi's need it...... we need it.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
