SHEEP ARE 'LED' NOT 'DRIVEN'.

It depends on what dog is taking care of them, I've seen sheep dogs drive sheep, it's not a pretty sight but is effective in getting places the sheep don't want to go. The really good ones know who the leader is and you only have to drive one sheep, the others truly will follow. So make sure who is leading where ever you are and what ever you're doing.

It is always wise to question these movements. I am not familiar with this so I can't say one way or the other.

sheep need to be fed, and Christ gave the command to a mere man, Peter, to 'feed His sheep'. So is Rick Warren feed the sheep the RIGHT 'food'?

Now thats a GOOD question ServingHim!

I think a good a GOOD answer can be found in the chapter of Ezekiel 34(Irresponsible Shepherds).

This whole chapter to me sums up what I personally see happening today with the sheep and the shepherds who are leading them. be blessed!

When was the last time any of you got out of your comfort zone?

every day that I come onto this board as a Catholic Christian and try to proclaim the Truth and combat the many many lies that so many people believe about the Church...and every day someone either ridicules me, lashes out at me, yells at me that I'm 'divisive', or that I'm not worthy of conversing with...so yeah, I'm out of my 'comfort zone'...I'd rather be doing many other fun things... my 'comfort' is not found in getting ridiculed, scolded, and degraded here, but my faith, love and commitment to living my faith has brought me here, so I guess that my 'comfort' is not the most important thing to me, but my conviction of proclaiming truth and combatting lies about Christ (i.e. His body, the Church) will continue until He leads me to leave here...which I thought was the other day, but apparently I was wrong, for now anyway....Peace. :b:

thank you, yahsway ...

I know that all non-catholics will disagree...otherwise, if they agreed, they'd be Catholic :t2: ... but ISN'T THIS WORTH noting... for perhaps the 'food' that many churches are 'missing' is found where I believe it is continually feeding the sheep. THIS explains in further detail what I'm trying to say here in few words...it's worth examining. :il:

11 Now these Jews were more noble than those in Thessaloni'ca, for they received the word with all eagerness, examining the scriptures daily to see if these things were so. Acts 17:11

4 For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that by steadfastness and by the encouragement of the scriptures we might have hope. Romans 15:4

5 For this very reason make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, 6 and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, 7 and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. 8 For if these things are yours and abound, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 For whoever lacks these things is blind and shortsighted and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins. 10 Therefore, brethren, be the more zealous to confirm your call and election, for if you do this you will never fall; 11 so there will be richly provided for you an entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 2 Peter 1:4-11

Listen ServingHim. I am of no denomination nor do I agree with the Catholic beliefs.

But I will say this, if You are a believer and follower of Yeshua, then You are my sister, and no denomination or church makes it so, Yeshua makes it so.

Yea, I guess i come down a little hard on denominations and catholic dogma, but from my heart its just because I am letting the Father teach and lead me by His Holy Spirit. I put no faith or trust in man, only God.

If i have ever offended you, please forgive me. But for myself, I will lean not upon my own (or anyone elses) understanding.

One of the things I have found in m y own walk with discussing beliefs with others, is that I do agree to disagree at times, but i will try to see where they are coming from.

When will we ever be united in all things spoken of by Him? When he returns. Then He will rule with a rod of iron, One King with One people. be blessed

SERVING HIM:

You know its interesting, but that is something I have noticed particulalry on this board - there is an intolerance with some people bordering on antipathy toward Catholic Christians. :suspect:

I don't understand that.

But I want to encourage you SERVING HIM to share your faith with us here.

I don't think you are trying to convert me - as I am not trying to convert you. We are already converted into Christ. Amen. :)

I was missionionary for some years in a country that has no Christian history.

In this country, which is very beautiful in its own way, among the many religions and rites of death prevelant there , I witnessed how beautifully and powerfully God worked through every Christian denomination to the praise of His glory and His Name. :D

I went as a staunch Baptist at that time - but the force of experience broke down those silly man made barriers -

I witness in my country and in the USA how Catholic Christians are on the front line of critical social issues such as assisted suicide, abortion, divorce and other issues- that often evangelicals in particular do not address with the same conviction.

There are exceptions like Dr Dobson - bless his ministry :D:D:) - and others - but the Catholic Church speaks with an authority that resonates.

We need to let go of our assumptions that we have the corner on salvation.

The critical question for me is

What does a faith teaching say about Jesus? (Yes, and the Trinity)

Do they believe in the Incarnation, the Atonement, the Resurrection, the 2nd Coming - Is Jesus the Messiah, the ONLY Way of Salvation?

The answer to that tells me if I can have fellowship with someone. ;)

I have been involved in Prayer Groups with Charismatic Catholics,

stood side by side with them in Pro Life Rallies,

I notice they run ALPHA Groups in their Parishes week evenings just like my church does - :D

This Church is a part of the body of our Lord, my dear brothers and sisters :D

I am not inagreement with everything - but then I am not in agreement with everything a Calvinist espouses either - I have learned to let go of that and stay focused on the critical piece.

We will be surprised with joy who we will meet in Heaven. Praise God.

Humbly and blessings- Sachi

absolutely...and no, you have never offended me in the least..

I agree, but I don't desire 'getting into it', as I think I've stated earlier somewhere on here. ;)

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
