Why cant Satan and demons repent?

Satan cannot repent because he has already been judged!

Jesus says in John 12:31, "Now judgment is upon this world and now the ruler of this world shall be cast out." Jesus was anticipating His cross as a triumph over Satan.

And He says again in John 16:11, "The ruler of this world has been judged."

Amen!

Scripture also states very clearly that the demons (former Angels) who have left their first estate are held in bondage until that day reserved for Judgement.

Why cant Satan and demons repent and thus be forgiven and back with God?

First of all they don,t want to and second of all they knew better then to do what they have done and salvation is not for them. Salvation is only for us.

the angels have no redeemer. Jesus didnt shed his blood for the angels or for lucifer. the bible says bloodshed must occur for attonment of sin. Jesus was born a man child, not an angel child.

Isa 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

Isa 14:13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

Isa 14:15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

God's plan of salvation for us is faith based. That means our salvation is rooted in the depth of our faith.

Angels stood in the very presence of God and rejected him. THAT alone is why there is no place for them in God's plan of salvation.

James tells us that "Devils believe and tremble." But "believe" is not faith. It is a simple matter of "seeing is believing."

BUT

The saints believe without sight, and THAT is faith, grounded in hope, of the things promised by God, whom we have not seen.

I do have a question.

Where do we find that they dont want to repent? I believe they literally cant repent. Remember the demon that was screaming "have you come to torment me before the time". It sounds like they are not looking forward to what is about to happen to them.

They know what is before them. These demons said to Jesus before He cast them out; "And when he was come to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes, there met him two possessed with devils, coming out of the tombs, exceeding fierce, so that no man might pass by that way. And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?" (Matt. 8:28-29).

I read some pretty good answers in here but there might be a point of salvation that needs to be understood. Nothing in all of creation does something oposite its nature. It is the nature of man and demons to reject GOD. Until the HOLY SPIRIT changes the nature of a man, he will not repent and turn to JESUS.

JESUS died for those whom THE FATHER gave HIM before the foundation of the earth were laid. HE did not die for demons or satan.

One of the realities of creation is that GOD has stated that if a man lives an unrighteous life until the end and then becomes righteous, his righteousness in the end is what he will be judged by. A man or a demon able to keep the law perfectly from some point of their existance until death, will be in GOD's kingdom. But, it is against the nature of both to do so.

My take is that Satan's nature is sealed and that he won't repent

I believe that some are "vessels unto honor and some unto dishonor." God, in His infinite and unfathomable wisdom has ordained that Satan's work should consummate in the lake of fire.

We only see things in a linear fashion because that is how we are created. We can only perceive of things in terms of linear time, one piece at a time. Yet God not only exists in all places, spaces, in all times simultaneously, He is able also to perceive things as they happen in both eternity past and in eternity future. It is simply inconceivable by our limited minds. God knows now what Satan did, is doing, and will do, even if he doesn't. Some part of what Satan will do is contained in Revelation, and in that book God has revealed Satan's plot and his ultimate destiny. So we can read Revelation and know that Satan will not repent.
