It is time to get Registered if you have not already.................

Most places have a limit on when a person can register to Vote, to no less then 1 month prior.... this means about the 1st of October will be the deadline to register...... there are different rules for each election....

SOME STATES MAY NOT EVEN HAVE ABSENTEE BALLOTS......

IF YOU DO NOT VOTE, YOU DO NOT HAVE A SAY IN WHAT IS GOING ON..... I have been hearing many people this year saying they do not think they will vote, for it does no good..... with attitudes as this, this country will go down hill even faster then it has.

I know of many people that did not vote the last presidential election, and yet they are complaining of the direction things are going..... THEY COULD HAVE MADE A CHANGE HAD THEY VOTED.......

during the campaign where Perot was running I did "unofficial" polls, and those I talked with, many voted Democrat or Republican not Independent...... I asked who they wanted in, the majority said Perot, so much so that both those that said Democrat and Republican were out numbered even when combined...... when I asked did you vote for Perot, they said no, that it was a wasted vote......

IN OTHER WORDS, PEROT COULD HAVE FEASIBLY RECEIVED OVER 2/3 OF THE POPULAR VOTE, LEAVING THE DEMOCRATS AND REPUBLICANS SHARING ONLY 1/3 OF THE VOTE........

one man said that if Perot was on the democratic ticket he would have voted for him...... (straight party voter)

I hope people do not vote straight party this election.... we have a man that does not even know if he is muslim or not.....

WITH THE AGE OF COMPUTER, IT IS NOT HARD TO DO THE HOME WORK.......

check out each candidate on all the issues that you have concerns with.....

check out their voting records, this will be the direction they will lean towards..... (dont really matter what they are saying now, their record shows their true heart)

research their past, and even present......

dont just read the news stories, dig deeper, go into their political history and see what they really stand for.....

dont vote straight party, this is not why we have a multi party system, it is so we have a choice, choose righteously....

again, if not registered, GET OUT AND GET IT DONE, you may even be able to do it on line....

if you missed a major election, you need to re register......

dont just look at the people running for President, Look at those running for the Congress and the Senate.... again, look at their track records...... how are they voting?..... look at their issues they bring up for vote on the floor to get new laws passed, what kind of laws???? what are they catering to??????

I just noticed that Nov 4 is a Tuesday. There are at least 10 states that do not protect voters rights when they conflict with employers work schedules. They simply need to declare Presidential election days federal Holidays so that everyone in the country has the same opportunity to vote.

JUst for the record, I do not vote. I also do not complain about who GOD puts into office or which direction GOD takes the country.

As scripture says, HE establishes the leadership and authorities, and HE holds the heart of the king in HIS hand to twist and turn as HE sees fit.

We are a country that needs one thing, the spread of the gospel and people willing to stand on the truth of JESUS. Without that, the country is doomed, with that GOD will fix the rest.

YEa, I know, but I still stand on that.

The polls are open very early in the morning and later into the evening. People that want to vote, can, at any given time they wish. Election Day is always the first Tuesday in November, for election for President every four years. There are also absentee ballots for people that can not vote on that particular day, such as folks in nursing homes, for instance.

I like what Mike has posted. I guess I don't have much tolerance for citizens in the United States of America that have the honor to vote that do not. If you don't vote, you have no right to complain!

I used to be one of those who complained a lot but never voted. I would get into discussions with people over politics and the state of things and as soon as they found out I did not vote they no longer wished to talk about such things with me. My first vote ever was for Ross P. I thought as a wealthy businessman he had nothing to gain and much to give. I was young. I didn't vote again until John Kerry came along and I knew I had to do my part to keep him out of office. I can only hope that others are similarly inspired to keep Barak Obama from ascending to the presidency.
