Slimshadyjb,

I think it is great that you want to share your faith. Your witnessing strategy should have a couple elements...one shared by ted founded in scripture but also two, incorporate what God has done in your life, how you were a sinner and accepted Him into your life. Some of those that you will come in contact with will want to argee the bible or question the validity of it etc but they cannot argue against what God has done in your life.

Also I agree that you should find a church that can help you as well. Being involved in church is important for alot of reasons. Alot of churches also have classes that they offer on how to share your faith. It can be scary to share your faith and taking a class will help you learn more about how to do it and make you more comfortable.

yes as KMB has stated you really need the fellowship of other christians to help you to grow...

I would say to you follow Christ, come to an understanding of scripture, grow in the good news, then ask God to help you to witness, now you can preach the gospel, about Christ suffering, dying, and rising again on the third day, so that we would be saved, and come to the knowledge of the truth, and so we would be able to have fellowship with God, through His Only Begotten Son. Be aware whosoever desires to live godly in this world will suffer persecution. Realize until God releases you to preach, and teach like the apostles, and prophets in the bible, do what you are willing to do, and what you can do, know your faults, and know your limitations, so that you can, and will get them fixed, so that they are not there anymore, so one thing we are commanded by God to preach, and teach all things in the scriptures, so this is a need for us to know all things through His Spirit, remember Christ's huge ministry happened at age 30, and remember the other apostles who hade much training, and remember Paul, who knew many scriptures in the Older Covenants, but after He got saved, I think this took Him about 7 years, I do not remember for sure, so there are somethings to think about.

I don't know, call me simple, but I think one of the best ways to witness to the world is by example... Give yourself totally over to God and live for Him. Seek God's will in all matters. Others will see the amazing change in your life and that is your testimony... And the light of the Lord will shine out loud to the world! When people ask why you are so happy or what is so different about you? You can tell them, it is Jesus! Then the sharing begins.

I think the best thing you could do is immerse yourself in the Bible and get to know it very well. Read commentaries from different sources and perspectives on parts you don't quite understand and pray.

Most of all, be a good example in how you conduct your own life.

I wouldn't just walk up to someone on the street.

Hi my name is Josh and I'm 17. I want to witness and share Christianity with people because I've never tried it before but I don't have any non-christian friends. Do I just walk up to someone on the street and say "Be a Christian"? and then walk away? Where can I tell people about God?

Hiya! ;)

Praise God for your desire to do this! Do you know how many people feel awkward doing this?!! A LOT! Everywhere I go I find someone to talk about Jesus to or ask if they know Him. Striking up a conversation with someone is second nature to me so that has it's advantages indeed. What I do for example is this:

If I'm in the checkout line at a store, when I get to the cashier I try to chit chat a bit about how busy or not busy the store may be to open the lines of communication, then I say something like "Oh, by the way, you do know Jesus, right?" You can discern right away and anyone that does...they will acknowledge Him with smiles and praise and thumbsups! Sometimes if I'm on an aisle and someone else is looking for the same thing and we can't find it I'll say something like, "Jesus can see it, now if we just could!" and I laugh! If they seem perturbed or annoyed I know they are probably a nonbeliever or lost from Him having walked from their walk. At that point, I leave them on a good note and say something to the effect of "Jesus is SO good! Have a really blessed day!"

One day when I asked a checkout girl if she knew Jesus and was saved she said no and well she got saved right there on the spot!!! The manager came and prayed and the others in line joined in...it was SO incredible!!! Woohoo!

"Witnessing" is more than just bringing someone to Christ via the sinner's prayer. Witnessing is also simply acknowledging Jesus, making others think about Him, planting the seeds of thought about Jesus everywhere you go, and most importantly YOU are the witness!!! Be an example of Jesus to others!

Plant the seeds; for God has the watering can! ;)

Love to you through our Jesus indeed! I'm very proud of you! I can only imagine how proud HE is of you! ;)

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
